XO Kitty has become a hit on Netflix as many streaming fans are hooked on the show and have been hoping for it to be renewed for a third season
XO Kitty’s Season 2 finale has fans speculating about the fate of two beloved characters after it ends on a cliffhanger.
At the end of the last show this season, viewers saw the main protagonist Kitty (Anne Cathcart) admitting to herself that she had deeper feelings for her smooth-talking friend Min Ho (Sang Heon Lee). However, it wasn’t confirmed whether or not Kitty and Min Ho ended up as a couple, leaving many wondering if their relationship will be actualized in Season 3. While XO Kitty hasn’t been confirmed for Season 3, many are still theorizing about how it will play out with the hopes it’ll be renewed for another season.
Actress Anne recently fed XO Kitty’s fans’ imagination when she teased what might be to come in Season 3 when opening up about her character Katherine “Kitty” Song-Covey in a recent interview.
“I would love to see Kitty continuing to explore who she is and figure out what that means to her,” she told Deadline. “She’s constantly dealing with this struggle between being herself and following her crazy heart without causing drama and too much chaos.”

Anne also noted that Kitty was “still in the process of figuring it out” as she broke down more of her character’s “journey” in the series.
“[Kitty’s] definitely still in the process of figuring that out,” she divulged. “Following her journey of being a messy, loving person is what makes the show so exciting, to see someone who I think we can all relate to that experience in some sense of not knowing what to do with your big heart.”
Anne also added: “I think if she just continues to follow it. I hope she never lets go of that trait because it’s something I really love about her.”
As of now, there isn’t an exact date for when Season 3 will be released, but there’s speculation that the new season will have a 2026 release date.
Jenny Han’s XO Kitty serves as a spinoff series for the To All The Boys film installments. It covers Kitty’s journey to finding her soul mate in South Korea all the while learning about her mother. The first two seasons of XO Kitty are streamable on Netflix.
