I Used to Hate The Rings of Power Season 1—Now I’m Begging for a Season 3. Here’s Why.

I’ll be honest: when The Rings of Power Season 1 first dropped, I wasn’t impressed. The pacing felt slow, the writing was inconsistent, and it didn’t feel like the Lord of the Rings world I grew up loving. I was one of those people who swore they’d never watch another season.

But fast-forward to now, and I find myself praying for an epic Season 3. What changed? Well, a lot. And if you’re still on the fence, let me tell you exactly why I’ve done a complete 180 on this show.

1. Season 2 Is Looking Absolutely Insane

Let’s start with the biggest reason: The Rings of Power Season 2 looks like the Middle-earth we actually wanted from the beginning.

🔥 Sauron in full power mode? Check.
🔥 The creation of more Rings? Check.
🔥 Bigger battles, darker stakes, and a more intense tone? Check, check, check.

If you’ve seen the leaks and teasers, you already know that Amazon is fully embracing the villain arc of Sauron. No more hiding. No more mystery. He’s out in the open, manipulating, forging Rings, and stepping into his true Dark Lord status.

This is the Lord of the Rings prequel we needed from the start. And if Season 2 delivers, Season 3 could be the most epic fantasy series ever.

2. They Finally Figured Out Galadriel’s Character

One of the biggest issues in Season 1 was Galadriel’s portrayal. Instead of the wise, ethereal elf we expected, we got a reckless warrior who made questionable decisions.

But now? The writers seem to have finally figured out what they’re doing with her.

💎 We’re finally seeing the true transformation of Galadriel into the powerful Elf queen we know from The Lord of the Rings.
💎 She’s no longer just a stubborn warrior—she’s becoming a legend.
💎 Her connection to Sauron is getting deeper, and that tension is setting up something massive for Season 3.

If they handle this right, Season 3 could give us the most compelling version of Galadriel we’ve ever seen on screen.

3. More Rings = More Chaos

Let’s be real—Season 1 barely scratched the surface of what the show is actually about: THE RINGS OF POWER.

⚔️ The Nine Rings for Men? We haven’t seen them in action yet.
⚔️ The Seven Rings for the Dwarves? Same.
⚔️ Sauron’s One Ring? Not even close yet.

Season 2 will finally show more rings being forged, but Season 3 is where we’ll actually see their devastating impact. We’re talking about:

🔥 The rise of the Ringwraiths (Nazgûl)—some of the most terrifying villains in Lord of the Rings lore.
🔥 The corruption of kings and leaders, as Sauron manipulates them into serving him.
🔥 The Dwarves falling into disaster (yes, we’re talking about the Balrog and the doom of Khazad-dûm).

Season 3 will be where the true war for Middle-earth begins.

4. The Show Has a Second Chance to Prove Itself

Let’s face it—Amazon spent a billion dollars on this show. They aren’t about to let it flop.

After the mixed reactions to Season 1, they’ve clearly been listening to feedback and adjusting. The visuals, action, and storytelling in Season 2 already look far stronger, meaning Season 3 could be where The Rings of Power reaches its peak.

If House of the Dragon can bounce back from a slow first season and become one of the best fantasy shows on TV, so can The Rings of Power.

5. The War Against Sauron Hasn’t Even Started Yet

Let’s not forget: this story is about the fall of Númenor and the rise of Mordor as Sauron’s ultimate kingdom.

We haven’t even reached the biggest battles yet, including:

⚔️ The full-scale war between Númenor and Sauron.
⚔️ The destruction of Númenor itself.
⚔️ The final forging of the One Ring and the start of the Last Alliance of Elves and Men.

Season 1 was just setup. Season 2 will start pushing things forward. But Season 3? That’s where everything we love about Middle-earth will explode into action.

So, Are You Still Skeptical?

I get it—if you gave up on The Rings of Power after Season 1, you’re probably still unsure about giving it another chance.

But from everything we’ve seen, this show is evolving into something incredible. And if Season 2 delivers, Season 3 could go down as one of the greatest fantasy seasons of all time.

So what about you? Are you still out, or are you just as hyped for a mind-blowing Season 3 as I am? Drop your thoughts below! 🔥👑🧙‍♂️
