Zendaya has cemented her best-dressed status with a number of incredible red carpet looks during her press tour for Dune: Part Two this year.

But one of them proved to be a challenge for the Euphoria star, 27, leaving the actress feeling ‘immediately lightheaded.’

In a new video for Vogue’s Life in Looks series, the Oakland born beauty reflected on one of her raciest looks to date: a butt-baring vintage 1995 Mugler metallic robot suit, which she wore to the February 15 film premiere in London.

Zendaya shared that as the event neared she began fearing that the look was a ‘bad idea.’

‘Immediately after wearing it for 10 minutes or less than that, I got really lightheaded. The metal conducts and holds onto heat very quickly and traps it in,’ she explained.

She added, ‘I’m wearing a complete bodysuit. There’s a barrier so you already have a layer of material on your skin.’

However, she soldiered on and decided to wear the unique look regardless: ‘But I put it on, made it out there and did it.’

Zendaya also revealed how the look came together at first, sharing that after she told her stylist Law Roach about the idea, he said: ‘Are you being serious? Don’t play with me! Don’t get me started on something and make me do this, and you’re going to chicken out at the last minute and be too scared to wear it.’

The pair then got the archival design, and one of the man who had made the suit back in the 90’s attended her fitting.

The metal suit ended up fitting ‘like a glove’ and Zendaya said it felt like it was ‘meant to be.’

Hailing from the designer’s fall/winter 1995 ‘Cirque d’Hiver’ 20th anniversary collection, Zendaya’s look boasted a chrome suit of armour with clear panels flaunting her incredible physique.

The legendary design first set tongues wagging nearly three decades ago on the runway, evolving into a fashion moment that signalled the age of the internet.

Zendaya, who plays the warrior Chani in the franchise, complemented her daring ensemble with a diamond and sapphire necklace, along with Mugler metallic stiletto heels.
