After Jonathan Majors was found guilty of two misdemeanor charges last December, he has been once again sued by his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari. Jabbari filed another lawsuit for alleged assault, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, malicious prosecution, and defamation, citing incidents dating from 2021 to 2023. Majors’ current conviction was for the altercation that happened in March 2023.

The new lawsuit was filed in New York federal court on Tuesday. According to a copy obtained by Variety, Jabbari alleged that Majors subjected her to physical and emotional abuse. In one of the specified incidents in the lawsuit which happened in Los Angeles in 2022, Majors, in one of his angry outbursts, allegedly shoved her through the shower door and threw her body into the shower wall, causing her head to hit the wall.

When Jabbari threatened to tell his team about what he had done to her, Majors started throwing things around the apartment, which caused a dent in the wall and left glass shattered on the floor.

During another incident, this time in London in 2022, Majors allegedly pushed Jabbari so hard that she fell against her back and bruised her backside. The Lovecraft Country actor allegedly picked his ex-girlfriend up and threw her against the hood of her car, when she attempted to leave. When Jabbari shouted for help, Majors allegedly put his hand over her mouth and brought her back into their apartment.

He then allegedly held his hands around Jabbari’s neck and threatened to kill her. According to the lawsuit, he began to smash her head against the marble floor while strangling her. The lawsuit also included text messages between the two where he dissuaded her from seeking medical help. These texts became public when they came up during the December 2023 trial and played a crucial part in Majors’s guilty conviction.

Jabbari’s defamation allegation stemmed from Majors’ claim on Good Morning America that he “never laid [his] hands on a woman.” The charges also pointed out how Majors’ attorney Priya Chaudhry repeatedly accused Jabbari of lying about her injuries during the March 2023 incident.

On March 25, 2023, Grace Jabbari called the police on Jonathan Majors after an alleged assault incident. Jabbari later testified that when they were in a car, she found text messages suggesting infidelity on Majors’s phone. When she grabbed the phone, Majors allegedly twisted her arm and struck her head to get back his phone. When she tried to get out, Majors threw her back into the car causing further injuries.

Jabbari filed four counts of charges against the actor, including reckless assault in the third degree and harassment in the second degree. The more serious charges included intentional assault in the third degree and aggravated harassment in the second degree. While Majors had a major chance of getting the charges thrown out, a defense misstep during Jabbari’s cross-examination turned the tide against Majors.

The prosecution was allowed to introduce the earlier mentioned text messages as Molineux evidence. The messages put him in a bad light with the jury, who returned a split verdict after three days of deliberation. The jury decided not to convict him on the more serious charges. Following the conviction, Majors lost many of his movie and advertisement deals, including his Marvel role.
