Godzilla has several different versions and iterations including a Godzilla who can literally devour planets!
The world is in awe with the recent release of the terrifying yet iconic film Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. With the two gigantic monsters teaming up to kill a larger third monster, the movies are often related to the gigantic scales of the sets, monsters, and events.
In Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, a pink Godzilla is seen with a menacing look. Although it is a very cool look, it doesn’t even come close to the most terrifying Godzilla yet! Appearing in films in 2017 and 2018, this Godzilla is also known as “The Planet Eater”!

Godzilla Has Always Been About Majestic Scales!
With the release of Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, MonsterVerse is taking quite a firm stand for its cinematic universe despite its failure in the past. Having some success with the earlier films and their subsequent sequels, people are not ready to give up on the MonsterVerse.

Often referred to as “kaiju,” Godzilla/Godzillas are a race of gigantic reptiles that became powerful due to radioactivity. Although there have been countless iterations and reboots/remakes of the radioactive reptile, there is still a hierarchy of power between different versions of Godzilla. In the 2024 film, a pink Godzilla is seen fighting alongside Kong, and the people are already impressed with the spectacular visuals.
With these movies often blowing audiences away with the majestic scales of these monsters, there is a version of Godzilla called The Planet Eater, and as the name suggests… it is terrifying, to say the least. This planet eater has made appearances in two movies back in 2017 and 2018, but its true powers haven’t been revealed to the people yet!

Back in 2017, a film titled Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters was released, and at the end of the movie, a giant looming Godzilla referred to as “The Planet Eater” was seen. This version of Godzilla appears in the sequel titled Godzilla: The Planet Eater.
And if the MonsterVerse truly succeeds in its sheer awesomeness, it may not be a far-fetched possibility when we get to see The Planet Eater in all its glory! The animated 2018 film Godzilla: The Planet Eater is available to stream on Netflix in the U.S.
On the other hand, the recently released film Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire received a rating of 6.7/10 and an average of 55% on Rotten Tomatoes and is currently screening in theaters around the world.
