As the movie continues to reign at the box office globally, Jack Black has brought his musical side to the movie with the cover of Britney Spears’ hit song, …Baby One More Time.

The track was released online on the same day when the movie hit the theatres showcasing him grooving and singing alongside his Tenacious D bandmate, Kyle Gass. 

Jack Black Covers Britney Spears’ …Baby One More Time for Kung Fu Panda 4

Jack Black is back with his fourth film in the Kung Fu Panda franchise and this time, he is also contributing his singing skills to the movie with a cover of Britney Spears’ hit song …Baby One More Time.

Tenacious D has added their hard rock twist to the single, which became a hot topic on the Internet in no time. Fans are enjoying the new cover, which redirected fans’ attention to Spears’ song and helped the actor endear himself to fans with his musical talent.

Released on March 8th, the cover has already crossed over 8 million views on YouTube, with fans expressing their support for the band. 

 

One fan commented on their video, 
“I did not know Tenacious D performing a cover of Baby one more time was something I needed in my life, but its now my favourite thing ever.”
Whereas, a second wrote, 
“This guys energy is unmatchable. Is an awesome time when Jack uploads us a gem.”
A third user chimed in the comments section to praise the actor-singer. They wrote,

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Jack Black shared a heartfelt message for the songstress to showcase how much he appreciates her. 

He shared with the outlet, 
“Britney, if you’re watching, I love you. I love the song. We’re very proud of it, [and] I hope you like it, too.” 
He is also open to collaborating with the Toxic singer to perform other iconic singles. 
“I’m here! I’m ready when you are. I’m waiting by the phone. I got kicks! I don’t quite have Britney kicks, but you know, I got some moves.”
Black has reprised his Po Ping role in the new movie, Kung Fu Panda 4 alongside Dustin Hoffman, James Hong, Bryan Cranston, and Ian McShane who returned to their previous roles. Whereas, the cast includes new members – Awkwafina, Ke Huy Quan, Ronny Chieng, Lori Tan Chinn, and Viola Davis.

Kung Fu Panda 4 is available in theatres.
