Sydney Sweeney made a bold entrance on Sunday at the People’s Choice Awards in Los Angeles. The “Madame Web” star sported a plunging Mônot gown in one of this season’s hottest hues: red.

Sweeney kept her look relatively minimal, adding on simple white gold and diamond earrings and rings by De Beers. The actress was dressed by her longtime stylist, Molly Dickson, whose other clients include stars like Lucy Hale, Ariana Greenblatt and Lana Del Rey.
Sweeney’s blond tresses were styled with curtain bangs, while her makeup featured dark eyeliner and a matte nude lip.
Shades of red are poised for popularity this year after fiery hues took the runways of Valentino, Carolina Herrera and Emilia Wickstead by storm during the fall 2023 season. Stars like Selena Gomez, Florence Pugh and Kylie Jenner have brought the trend into 2024, rocking rouge at events like the Golden Globes and Paris haute couture week.

Among Sweeney’s luxury brand ambassadorships include Armani Beauty, Kérastase and Leneige skincare. She’s also fronted ad campaigns for Miu Miu and Tori Burch.
Late last year, the actress expanded her clothing line with Ford, launching a second capsule collection with the automotive company. The collection includes five pieces inspired by Sweeney’s blue 1965 Mustang, which she affectionately calls “Britney.”
“I’ve always loved Mustangs,” Sweeney told WWD of her latest vintage automobile acquisition. “Blue is my favorite color, so when I saw the color scheme of it, I thought it was the prettiest thing I’ve ever seen.”
The People’s Choice Awards, which solicit votes from fans and the general public, originated in 1975. The 49th annual ceremony takes place on Feb. 18 at the Barker Hangar in Los Angeles. Hosted by “Barbie” star Simu Liu, the award show’s categories span multiple pop culture mediums including music, television, film and sports.
