The sci-fi film continues the story of Paul Atreides and delivers an immersive cinematic experience that moviegoers across the globe are fascinated with. As a result, the film’s box office performance has been nothing short of record-breaking. Despite fans praising the film’s box office numbers, MrBeast has a slightly different opinion, and here is why.

YouTuber MrBeast Shares His Thoughts on Dune: Part Two’s Record-Breaking Box Office Numbers

Directed by Denis Villeneuve, Dune: Part Two was released theatrically on March 1, 2024. The film premiered to overwhelmingly positive critical reception and has been called one of the best sci-fi movies of all time. It has also managed to gross a whopping $494.7 million at the global box office.

While the film nearing the $500 million milestone in its third week of release is a major achievement, YouTuber MrBeast does not seem to agree with that notion. After the news of Dune: Part Two nearing the $500 million mark made its way to social media, MrBeast shared his reaction to the milestone.

Through the tweet, MrBeast seemingly implied that while the $500 million milestone is an impressive achievement, it deserves to earn more money at the box office for its quality and immersive cinematic experience.

Following MrBeast’s tweets, other X users also voiced their thoughts on the film’s box office numbers and milestones.

As the tweets suggest, most fans of the movie seemed to agree with MrBeast’s sentiments and expressed a desire to see the film break more box office records.

Dune: Part Two Continues Impressive Box Office Despite Competition

Dune: Part Two has had a stellar run at both the domestic and global box office. After grossing $494.7 million, the film has become 2024’s highest-grossing film domestically and internationally. It collected roughly $82.5 million in North America and $182.5 million globally in its first weekend, opening at the first place at the box office.

In its second week, the film was knocked over from the top spot by Kung Fu Panda 4. However, despite the competition, the film continues to deliver impressive numbers, surpassing the entire domestic gross of its predecessor in a matter of seven days.

Moreover, Dune: Part Two is bound to cross the $500 million mark during its third week in theaters, demonstrating a strong hold over the box office. In its third week, Dune: Part Two also eclipsed the $433.9 million box office collection of the first installment. Thus, if the film continues to deliver such staggering numbers, it is bound to emerge as a monster hit and become the first true blockbuster of 2024.

Dune: Part Two stars Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Josh Brolin, Austin Butler, Dave Bautista, and Zendaya, among others. It is currently running in theaters near you, while Dune is available to stream on Max.
