Fallout is a video game franchise developed by Bethesda Game Studios which was recently adapted into a TV series. Walton Goggins, an underrated actor who has been seen in a plethora of movies, portrays an important character in the series.

Fans Praise Walton Goggins For His Iconic Role

Set in a post-apocalyptic USA where nuclear war forced people to take shelter in bunkers called Vaults, Fallout depicts the story of warfare and a barren wasteland. Taking shelter in the Vaults, people do not know that the Vaults were also a place for psychological experiments on the people.

200 years later, a young woman named Lucy ventures out into the now-destroyed Los Angeles in search of her father. On the way, she meets an uncanny team of characters such as a squire from the Brotherhood of Steel and The Ghoul.

Walton Goggins, known for portraying several iconic roles in movies like The Hateful Eight, and, Tomb Raider, portrays the role of The Ghoul in the show. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), people talked about the awesome acting skills of Goggins and how he was an underrated actor!

 

 

 

 

 

In an interview, Walton Goggins talked about Fallout and how it was “illuminating but horrifying” for him to watch. Since the first seven minutes of the opening episode are quite brutal, Goggins revealed that he realized that there were consequences in this fictional world as well!

The opening of the series depicts a peaceful community that is unaware of what is about to happen in the future. In an interview with TechRadar, Walton Goggins talked about how the series affected the viewers as well as his own psyche!

“Watching the show’s first seven minutes with an audience was illuminating but horrifying. Any version of trauma, at any level, is tough to see, but I was so surprised by the finished product and seeing how emotional everyone, who I watched it with, was.”

He further continued,

“I think that’s when the show is at its best – it’s funny, but there are real consequences for the people involved.”

With the series debuting only a day ago, Fallout stands at a rating of 8.7/10 on IMDB and a whopping 94% on Rotten Tomatoes. With an ensemble cast to its name and Ramin Djawadi as the music composer, the 2024 series is available to stream on Prime Video in the U.S.
