While Euphoria fans can breathe a sigh of relief regarding Hunter Schafer’s situation, the wait for season 3 continues. Originally expected in 2023, the season’s release has been pushed back to 2025. This delay can be attributed to several factors, including production disruptions due to the writer’s strike in 2023 and the tragic passing of actor Angus Cloud, who played Fez in the series.

Francesca Orsi, Vice President of HBO Programming, shared with fans the reasons of pushing back the release date for the seriers (via Elle):
“We can’t start shooting. So the delivery of that show — ideally in 2025 — will be determined on when we can pick back up with Sam [Levinson], who at this point is [not writing] and just finishing on The Idol.”
Schafer has had a major role in the series thus far and is expected to have a major role in future as well. While HBO or Euphoria did not comment on Schafer’s recent protest incident, it does not affect their professional partnership. Both the seasons of Euphoria can be streamed on HBO Max.
