In a narrative filled with conflicting accounts, Meghan Markle initially claimed Kate Middleton made her cry just days before her wedding to Prince Harry, though in an Oprah Winfrey interview, she reversed this, asserting she was hurt by Kate’s actions. According to Prince Harry’s memoir, Meghan was found in tears “on the floor” following an argument with Kate about bridesmaid dresses, where Kate mentioned a “problem” with Princess Charlotte’s dress.

After stepping down as senior royals in 2020, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex relocated to Montecito, California, and engaged in various projects that revealed ongoing tensions within the royal family. Their tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey and their six-part Netflix documentary disclosed significant details about the rift. However, these high-profile endeavors have further strained their relationship with the royals.

For the Sussexes to come together into the royal family, Prince Harry is expected to issue a public apology for the hurt caused by his revealing memoir, “Spare.” Despite this, a royal expert suggests that Harry might be planning to publish a second memoir once his estranged brother, Prince William, becomes king after their father, King Charles III.
