“New Bucket Dropped at #amc for the upcoming #snowwhiteandthesevendwarfs movie releasing March 21st, not sure on price just yet, but super awesome looking bucket in 5 different colors #popcornbucket”
In the video, it appears that different colored diamonds are attached to the popcorn buckets’ lids. As such, patrons should be able to choose between the red, yellow, green, purple, or blue tops. If this is the case, rather than theaters making the choice for customers, it’s logical to wonder if the lids can be purchased separately — or if fans must buy the complete mining cart for the full price over and over to collect all five colors. The Snow White souvenir also features the silhouette of the film’s heroine [Zegler] and all seven of her diminutive friends on the side.
The Evil Queen’s (Gadot) deadly apple appears on top of the mining cart. AMC moviegoers can expect the collectible to be available as early as Thursday, Mar. 20, but the price wasn’t revealed in the TikTok video. However, if one wants to stack it up against other comparable items, the theater chain’s limited addition Nosferatu coffin container sold for $39.95 online (via amctheatres.com), while the company’s Sonic the Hedgehog 3 “figural head” popcorn bucket went for $26.95.
The Cliché of “Bad Press Is Better Than No Press” Will Certainly Be Tested by ‘Snow White’
For those who didn’t know, Zegler stirred up plenty of controversy at the 2022 D23 Expo, while discussing the original Snow White film, in an interview with Extra TV by saying: “There is a big focus on her love story, with a guy who literally stalks her [laughs] — weird, weird! So, we didn’t do that this time.” In October 2024, Zegler insisted that her words were taken out of context while speaking with Variety. The actress said in her own defense during that interview:
“In all honesty, it made me sad that it was taken in such a way, because I believe that women can do anything. But I also believe that they can do everything. I just mean that it’s no longer 1937/ She’s not going to be saved by the prince, and she’s not going to be dreaming about true love. She’s dreaming about becoming the leader she knows she can be and the leader that her late father told her that she could be if she was fearless, fair, brave, and true.”
