Meghann Fahy Is Ready to Return to The White Lotus—and Reacts to Season 3’s Shocking Finale
Meghann Fahy, who captivated audiences as Daphne Sullivan in Season 2 of HBO’s The White Lotus, has expressed her eagerness to return to the acclaimed series. In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Fahy stated that she would reprise her role “in a heartbeat” if given the opportunity. Fahy’s enthusiasm coincides with discussions about a potential “all-stars” season of The White Lotus. Season 3 actor Patrick Schwarzenegger mentioned the idea, noting that series creator Mike White had considered bringing together notable characters from previous seasons. Schwarzenegger recalled White saying, “Oh my God, it’d be so good to get you, Jake Lacy, and Theo James in the same room.”
Reflecting on the Season 3 finale, which aired on April 6, Fahy described her reaction as “devastated” due to the unexpected character deaths. She praised the season’s writing and cast, stating, “It was excellent. I mean, I was devastated by the people we lost, of course, but that’s sort of always the point, isn’t it? “They could get all the douche guys in one hotel together. Mike said that one day when we were on set, he was like, ‘Oh my God, it’d be so good to get you, Jake Lacy and Theo James in the same room,’ ” Schwarzenegger, 31, added to the outlet, mentioning James, who played Fahy’s husband.
At the end of the second season, James’ character, Cameron Sullivan, is accused of cheating with Aubrey Plaza’s character, Harper Spiller, who said they only kissed. Harper’s husband, Ethan Spiller (played by Will Sharpe), then confronted Daphne about the infidelity. Daphne reacted by telling him he can choose not to be the victim, before leading him to a secluded area, leaving viewers to interpret whether they secretly fooled around or not.
As for the season 3 finale, which aired on April 6, Fahy told PEOPLE how she felt about the episode that left her feeling “devastated.”
