Meghan Markle is reportedly pining for her “old life” prior to marrying Prince Harry amid reports of a bombshell new investigative documentary on the Sussexes.
Meghan Markle misses her “care-free” life prior to marrying into the monarchy due to constant media scrutiny, a source close to the Sussexes has revealed.
Markle, 42, was a successful TV actress on the legal drama series Suits but left the program ahead of her royal wedding to Prince Harry in 2018.
Less than two years later, the Sussexes “stepped back” from royal duties to pursue their own commercial careers in California, but Markle is reportedly feeling regret over her decision to abandon her acting career.
On Friday, a source close to the Sussexes told OK! Magazine that the Duchess of Sussex missed her “care-free” life as an actress on the periphery of the A-list.

“Meghan has made no secret of how much she misses her care-free life when she was an actress and while she’d never change what she has with Harry and the kids, there is a big part of her that she wishes she could just get her old life back,” the source said.
“She loved being in Suits and all the opportunities it gave her, she’d get invited to all the exclusive events and get to hang out with Hollywood A-listers but there was so much less scrutiny and attention and there was no pressure on her.”
The insight comes months after Meghan told the audience at a film festival in Texas that she refuses to look at social media to protect her own mental health.
Meghan’s life before meeting Harry will also be put under a microscope in an upcoming German investigative documentary.

The documentary has been produced by seasoned royal reporter Ulrike Grunewald for the ZDF network and will reportedly reveal bombshells about Meghan’s past prior to marrying Harry in 2018.
Ms Grunewald and her team travelled from Europe all the way to Montecito in California to speak to Harry and Meghan’s neighbours and get an inside glimpse into their private lives.
Last week, it was announced that the project was temporarily on pause while Ms Grunewald and her team seek legal advice over claims in the documentary.
“The team wants to make sure that everything used on Meghan Markle is correct,” a source told the Express newspaper.
“Every detail will be checked and double-checked to make sure that it is legally sound and factually correct.”
