It also speaks to how aware Marvel Studios is of the iconic status of The Animated Series, especially as X-Men in live-action have been struggling in the last decade when they were part of 20th Century Fox. If X-Men ’97 is being handled well under Marvel Studios, it could also bode well for how they will portray the mutants when they finally tackle them in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
