X-Men ’97 Episode 9 Clip Reveals New Costumes For Marvel’s Mutants

Wolverine during a fight surrounded by fire in X-Men '97 episode 8

Professor Xavier’s mutants get new Marvel costumes in an X-Men ’97, episode 9 clip. As X-Men: The Animated Series continues its major return to the small-screen through X-Men ’97, continuing this iteration of Marvel’s beloved mutants. While their world has been turned upside down, there are still two episodes left of the season as they deal with their new threat.

As X-Men ’97 season 1 is almost over, former showrunner Beau DeMayo shared a new clip for episode 9, which serves as the second part of the three-part finale. In the X-Men ’97, episode 9 clip, the mutants are seen getting new suits, as the Uncanny X-Men costumes get introduced in the world of X -Men: The Animated Series. Check out the full clip below:

What We Expect To See In X-Men ’97s Final Episodes

Magneto sending his EMP in X-Men '97 episode 8

With only two episodes remaining for X-Men ’97 season 1, there is a lot of ground to cover with the final two parts of the extended season finale. To begin with, episodes 9 and 10 will likely have to deal with the fact that both Magneto and Professor X are alive, as the other characters are now fully aware that neither of them is as dead as they initially thought. In Charles’ case, there are likely going to be some conflicted reactions from his former students.

The bigger question, however, is how they will defeat Bastion once and for all before the end of X-Men ’97 season 1. However, given that X-Men ’97 season 2 is already confirmed, it is not a guarantee that Bastion will be done as the main villain after the season 1 finale. There is always the possibility that Bastion’s arc as the primary antagonist could continue into X-Men ’97 season 2.

Given how there have been reactions by other Marvel characters in the X-Men: The Animated Series universe, it wouldn’t be a shock if more cameos are coming up in the final two episodes of X-Men ’97. With the amount of Marvel shows that exist in the X-Men continuity, there are a lot more corners of this world that are bound to react to what is going on with the mutants right now. For now, the world can tune in for X-Men ’97, episode 9 on Wednesday, May 8, only on Disney+.
