An insider has claimed that the source of Prince William and Prince Harry’s estrangement can be traced to one move by Will before his brother’s wedding to Meghan Markle which “caused bitterness”.

King Frederik and Prince William have been captured engaging in friendly banter at the UEFA European Championship football match between Denmark and England.

Prince William “will never reconcile” with his estranged brother Prince Harry over the Sussexes’ betrayals of the royal family, a palace insider has claimed.

William and Harry have grown increasingly estranged since the Duke of Sussex married Meghan Markle in 2018 and ties worsened after the Sussexes left royal duties and moved to California in 2020.

More recently, Will was allegedly “enraged” about embarrassing revelations published in Harry’s memoir Spare, including allegations William’s wife Princess Catherine brought Meghan to tears.

Royal author Michael Cole believes there is “no chance” that Harry and William will reconcile despite reports the Sussexes are currently house hunting in the UK.

“I don’t think there’s any chance at all of there a reconciliation with the brothers now or in the foreseeable future,” he told GB News on Wednesday.At the core of the estrangement, Mr Cole claimed that William is unable to get over Harry’s betrayals of the monarchy in his memoir Spare and the couple’s six-part Netflix series.

“It goes back to the Oprah Winfrey interview then the book Spare and all the things that were said in the Netflix six-part series, too much bad blood and William is not going to forgive,” he said.

The update comes after a newly resurfaced book by Tom Bower alleged William privately asked his uncle Earl Spencer to convince Harry to postpone the wedding to Markle in 2018.

The Prince of Wales was reportedly concerned by how quickly Harry was planning to marry the then-Suits actress just over a year after meeting Meghan for the first time.

“At William’s request, Spencer weighed in,” Mr Bower wrote in Revenge: Meghan, Harry, and the War Between the Windsors.

“Three times married, Spencer cautioned his nephew to reconsider his haste towards marriage.

“His advice provoked a bitter reaction.”

The warring brothers have not been photographed together since Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral in 2022 and were seated apart at recent royal occasions like King Charles’s coronation.

Despite the frosty ties between the previously close brothers, the Sussexes are still reportedly house hunting in London amid plans to establish a second base in the United Kingdom.
