Wild Deadpool & Wolverine Deleted Scene Revealed By Ryan Reynolds Before Release

Hugh Jackman's Wolverine in the MCU with PT Barnum in The Greatest Showman

Ryan Reynolds has revealed one wild deleted scene from Deadpool & Wolverine that is hard to believe. Reynolds and Hugh Jackman are set to make their returns as Deadpool and Wolverine, respectively, from Fox’s X-Men franchise on July 26, and their MCU debut has been built up as one of the franchise’s biggest, most-cameo-filled, and most unexpected events. Reynolds and Jackman seem to be pulling off something that has never been done before, and this has been proven in the details of an unbelievable deleted scene.

Following his former retirement from the role, Hugh Jackman is set to explore new sides to Wolverine in the MCU’s Phase 5. Hilariously, Ryan Reynolds has revealed that one of these new sides presented itself as a dance number for Wolverine to the tune of Elton John’s “I Guess That’s Why They Call It The Blues”, but this was dropped the movie in the draft stages (via Film Updates). Jackman is a seasoned dancer and performer, so this would have been an incredible scene to include in Deadpool & Wolverine.

Hugh Jackman Reveals One Deadpool & Wolverine Rumor Has An Even Wilder Version Of The MCU Movie’s Deleted Scene

Hugh Jackman's Wolverine ready to attack in Deadpool & Wolverine

As if watching Wolverine dance to the sweet sound of Elton John wouldn’t have been entertaining enough, Hugh Jackman revealed during the Deadpool & Wolverine press tour that he’d heard a rumor suggesting this scene could have been even wilder (via Film Updates). Noting that he’d heard about a “full song-and-dance number for Wolverine,”Jackman took this rumor one step further, suggesting that this could have occurred while Wolverine was “naked.” In an R-rated movie, this isn’t outside the realm of possibility, but perhaps not for the MCU.

It may seem outlandish for Wolverine to even be considered dancing in Deadpool & Wolverine, but given Hugh Jackman’s remarkable career in musicals, both on stage and on screen, this could certainly happen. Jackman has been nominated for two Tony Awards for his roles in The Boy from Oz and The Music Man, winning the former, and taking home the Special Tony Award in 2012. On screen, his roles in The Greatest Showman, Happy Feet and Les Misérables have proven his musical ability, so this may have been a great inclusion in Deadpool & Wolverine.

Of course, it’s certainly not like Wolverine to burst into a song-and-dance number, especially in the buff. In the world of Deadpool & Wolverine, anything can happen, particularly since the movie will be exploring the multiverse. Even so, since Ryan Reynolds has revealed this scene, it seems it won’t be featured in the theatrical release. If this scene has been filmed, however, it could still be released at some point in the future, giving audiences the chance to see Hugh Jackman put his dancing skills to the test as Wolverine.
