“We were there for emotional support”: What Zendaya Did for Tom Holland During No Way Home is So Sweet We Aren’t Sure Why the 2 Aren’t Married Yet

This one trait of this power couple makes us ship Tom Holland and Zendaya all the more!

Of all the couples in Hollywood who met on movie sets and ended up becoming real-life lovers, perhaps none comes as close to being as absolutely adore-worthy as Tom Holland and Zendaya. Although incredibly private about their love lives, this duo still never hesitates to leave people swooning with stories of them being each other’s support system.

That said, the Dune actress didn’t let go of this supportive streak while working with her boyfriend on 2022’s blockbuster masterpiece Spider-Man: No Way Home. If anything, the adorable way that she was there to provide Holland with the emotional support he needed has all of us wondering just why this power couple hasn’t tied the knot yet!

Zendaya Was Tom Holland’s Support System During No Way Home

Easily the most fan-favorite and emotionally donning movie of all the installments in his Spider-Man film series, No Way Home not only set up an extraordinary storyline but also brought back to the screens two of the best web-slingers to have ever existed besides Holland: Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield.

But as out-of-the-box as the entire movie was, it was equally unnerving for Tom Holland. The reason behind this was simple: He was working with two actors who had ruled fans’ hearts for decades as variants of the same superhero as his, and he just didn’t want “to step on anyone’s toes,” as his girlfriend revealed during an Actors on Actors episode for Variety.

That being said, Euphoria star Zendaya simply couldn’t watch her other half lose his nerves over something like this, considering just how truly risky it indeed was. Thus, she made sure to at least be there for him and provide him with all the emotional support and confidence he needed to deliver the beyond-excellent performance that he did.

As the fan-beloved Dune actress confessed to Garfield during that Actors on Actors episode (via Variety on YouTube):

That’s why we were there. We were there for emotional support. We were like, ‘I think they don’t know how much fun we like to have when we’re doing this job.’

Swoon-worthy enough? Well, for us, it most certainly is (and we bet it is for you too).

But what’s more interesting is that Garfield and Maguire actually never really felt Holland could step on their toes while working with them!

Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire Felt Differently About No Way Home

While the Uncharted actor felt hesitant because of the two pre-established perfect Peter Parkers in fans’ eyes, Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire seemingly shared different thoughts. If anything, this web-slinger duo gave the entire credit to Holland, deeming it “Tom’s movie.”

As the Tick, Tick… Boom! actor admitted during the same interview while talking about Holland:

He never let anything on to us. Me and Tobey were like, ‘This is Tom’s movie. It’s your guys’ movie.’ But it’s so funny because you guys were like, ‘We’re going to come and hang out with you at rehearsal.’ I’m like, ‘What are these guys doing?’

Obviously, this confusion left as soon as Zendaya explained that they all preferred to hang out together to provide emotional support to each other. That said, this very support from the love of his life must have truly contributed immensely to him giving one of the best performances of his life in the 2022 smash-hit masterpiece.

All of this being put out there, we are actually super unsure why this power couple hasn’t slipped those wedding bands on each other’s ring fingers already!
