Martin Henderson opened up about Virgin River’s shocking ending

Martin Henderson returned to Virgin River as Jack Sheridan.

Many saw Melinda Monroe (Alexandra Breckenridge) and Jack’s much-awaited wedding and the moments that led up to it. Season six was not only about their love but also viewers saw Mel’s relationship with her long-lost father and her parents’ past in a different way.

In the finale, viewers at home saw Jack walk into the baby’s room and look shocked but no one knows what he saw. This comes after Mel asked Jack to swing by her house. She was in the process of getting a restraining order on Calvin (David Cubitt), the father of the twin boys. Jack went into the room after noticing that the door was open when he saw something or someone, leaving fans with a cliffhanger.

Martin admitted to Deadline that he also does not know what what in that room.

He said: “I don’t know if this is going to be disappointing to audiences or not, but I still have no idea exactly what I was seeing in that room. It’s written that he walks down the hallway, comes into a room, there’s evidence of some kind of struggle or rush exits, we’re not sure which, but it piques his curiosity. Jack then hears something, and he opens the door, and we end on Jack’s face. I don’t remember what the actual adjective was, maybe it was shocked. But it was never stated what he was looking at.”

Martin went on to explain the shooting of the scene. He said: “When they went to shoot the scene, there was nothing in the room, so I said to the director, you want me to have this expression, but what am I looking at? And she said, I don’t know. They haven’t written that part yet. Which was terrifying as an actor.”

There has been no confirmation on the release date for season seven but fans are already anticipating what is to come. One person on X, formerly known as Twitter, wrote: “When Virgin river season 7 coming out?? Cause why would they end like that.” Another posted: “I finished watching Virgin River & I’m so curious on what’s going to happen in season 7.”
