Virgin River fans make wild prediction for Mel and Jack’s children next season

Virgin River fans are convinced that Mel and Jack will have a huge brood of children by the end of the Netflix series and they already have theories for next season.

Mel Monroe and Jack Sheridan on their wedding day

Virgin River enthusiasts reckon Mel Monroe (portrayed by Alexandra Breckenridge) and Jack Sheridan (played by Martin Henderson) may end up parenting a rather large brood by series’ end. The beloved Netflix series charts the life of Mel, a nurse practitioner who arrives in a small Northern California town to start anew after heartbreaking events, only to find unexpected romance.

Having fallen hard for ex-Marine and local tavern owner Jack, lovers were delighted when the duo finally wed at the close of season six, dropped on the streaming giant just this month. Yet, despite their nuptial joy, the season concluded with bombshell twists setting the stage for the forthcoming series, notably centered around the vanishing of mother to twins, Charmaine (Lauren Hammersley).

Jack’s reeling from his discovery at her residence as season six draws to a close. At the same time, Mel’s dealt a hand of surprise when Marley (Rachel Drance) requests she and Jack rear her child.

That ups the ante to potentially three kids for Virgin River’s darling couple, yet fans speculate more little ones might be in the pipeline. In a recent Reddit discussion guessing at the next season’s plotlines, one audience member said: “It will be 3-4 babies in one day adoption.”

Another chimed in: “Living in a farm with a lot of babies. That was Mel’s dream when she told Jack in season one I think! ” Plus, an additional fan’s theory offered a complex forecast for the entire show’s conclusion with impressive supporting points, reports the Mirror US.

“My prediction is that they’re basically setting them up to get all the babies they thought they were going to get two seasons ago,” one keen Virgin River viewer proposed. “I think Charmaine is toast and those boys are going to Jack and Mel as they thought was going to happen before he found out he wasn’t the father.

“Then I’m guessing the woman who wants to give Mel and Jack her baby is pregnant with a girl… Which will be a stand-in for the one Mel lost. Like I literally think her baby will be born on Mel’s original due date.”

Offering another potential shocker, they added: “The only thing I’m not so sure about is if Mel will also become pregnant again and they end up with four kids.”

Echoing this sentiment, another follower chipped in: “They will have Marley’s baby, Charmaine’s two babies and Mel will get surprised with her own pregnancy. Side note: Jack’s sister [Brie (Zibby Allen)] will be pregnant with Brady’s (Benjamin Hollingsworth) baby.”
