Vincent D’Onofrio, who plays Wilson Fisk in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, addresses the status of the Daredevil: Born Again trailer. The next live-action TV show in the MCU timeline will be the highly-anticipated arrival of Daredevil: Born Again, with Charlie Cox finally coming back in a main role as the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen. Even though the MCU drama is premiering in less than three months, the Daredevil: Born Again marketing has moved very slowly.

In response to Vincent D’Onofrio’s recent post on X, a fan took to social media to ask about the status of the Daredevil: Born Again trailer. The actor responded by explaining the trailer has been delayed by the L.A. fires that are currently still affecting the region, stating:

While stating that it has been “postponed” due to what is happening in L.A., D’Onofrio assured that the Daredevil: Born Again trailer is on the way, stating “it’s coming.” At the time of this story’s publication, there has been no announcement made regarding a time window in which the footage was expected to be released.

In a follow-up response, a concerned MCU fan thought that this meant the release of the Daredevil: Born Again show itself has been delayed. However, it didn’t take long for D’Onofrio to address that the Phase 5 TV show is still set to premiere on March 5 on Disney+.

The tragic situation that has affected thousands of citizens in L.A. has also affected several major industries including the world of Hollywood, explaining D’Onofrio’s comments about Daredevil: Born Again‘s trailer. Much of the promotion for the Daredevil: Born Again TV show is reliant on the marketing team behind the series, with many involved likely being based in L.A. Depending on which parts of L.A. they are operating from, it’s possible that many of them were those who needed to evacuate from their homes and office areas.

Throughout the second week of January 2025, multiple press events were canceled, with actors, filmmakers, producers, and more not able to attend if they had to evacuate because of the fires. The release of the Daredevil: Born Again trailer isn’t the only marketing product to be delayed, as several TV shows and movies have also had to halt their respective ongoing productions. Until the fires are completely contained, many parts of Hollywood are essentially on pause.

D’Onofrio’s comments about the Daredevil: Born Again delay make sense, as it is crucial that anyone who resides in L.A. who has been affected prioritizes their safety, as well as their families. At the end of the day, a trailer for a TV show is not important over the lives of people who have lost or could be losing their homes, no matter what. Hopefully, once the L.A. fires have all been put out and everyone is back to safety, Marvel Studios will be able to give an estimate of when the world will get a new glimpse of Daredevil: Born Again.
