An alleged leak about Venom 3 plot reveals details about Andrew Garfield joining the Venomverse.

Venom 3 and Andrew Garfield Spiderman

Sony’s Spider-Man Universe has seen its fair share of ups and downs. With their last big-budget endeavor, Madame Web, turning out to be a big disaster, all eyes are set on Venom, which has been quite profitable for the franchise so far. A threequel for the symbiote series is on the way, and the rumored plot might just turn a lot of heads.

If we go by the rumored plot leak, the upcoming Venom 3 would introduce a Spider-Man in the symbiote universe for the first time. And not just any web-slinger, it is supposed to be Andrew Garfield’s version from The Amazing Spider-Man series.

Given the report is indeed true, it’ll have far-reaching consequences for the SSU, and might serve as a revival point for the franchise.

Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man accidentally drops into Venomverse in the rumored leak

MCU’s Spider-Man: No Way Home was the bridging gap between three generations of Spideys. For the first time, we saw three versions of Spider-Man teaming up on-screen to fight a common threat. At the end of the movie, the three Peter Parkers bid an emotional farewell to each other, seemingly returning to their own universe.

However, we know that Peter is one of the most unluckiest heroes in Marvel comics, and that sometimes translates to the silver screen. According to a Redditor @OrionSTARB0Y, who happened to have access to Venom 3’s plot details (allegedly), Andrew Garfield‘s Spidey ends up tumbling into the Venomverse.

The film, according to the reported leak, would have seen Spider-Man coming to terms with a new reality, while also being chased down by not just Venom, but also another symbiote who is out for his blood. Peter and Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) would have then teamed up against the new symbiote, who turns out to be Toxin, a superhero serial killer

Who is Toxin?

Toxin is perhaps the strongest symbiote out there in the Marvel continuity, limited only by his child-like intellect. Toxin is the son of Carnage, and the 1000th symbiote in its lineage, making it way deadlier than its previous generation due to a shared hive mind and collective special abilities passed down by its progenitors. Toxin is way more powerful than Carnage and Venom, and is also feared by Knull, the God of symbiotes in Marvel comics.

According to the leak, Toxin would bond with former detective Patrick Mulligan, who is going through a tough phase after losing his job and being dumped by his ex-wife. After the events of Let There Be Carnage, Mulligan would have viewed every super-powered entity as a threat, and Toxin amplifying those feelings to murderous tendencies.

Toxin would go out to hunt Spider-Man, after he makes his presence known in that universe, who is also being pursued by Venom. The young symbiote would then try to kill both Spidey and Venom, perceiving them as super-powered threats.

While Venom 3‘s logo caused a massive uproar among fans for being “too boring“, this plotline definitely has several redeeming qualities that can make the fans very happy. That is, a big IF, if this rumor is true.
