Megan Thee Stallion is facing new accusations in an updated lawsuit filed by her former photographer, Emilio Garcia. The amended complaint, first reported by Legal Affairs and Trials’ Meghann Cuniff, adds 10 new allegations to the original case, totaling 54 pages.
Garcia accuses Megan of misclassifying him as an independent contractor and claims she threw a TV remote at his head during a 2022 hotel stay. He also revisits earlier allegations that Megan had sex with another woman in front of him and now argues she referenced the incident on her October 2024 album, Megan: Act II. Specifically, he cites lyrics from “Best Friend,” where Megan raps: “Ayy, two red bones kissin’ in the back seat/Girl, don’t stop, keep goin’ and relax me/You want me to join in? Then ask me/I like girls that like girls, that attract me.” The filing claims Megan “relished” the incident.
In response to the initial suit, Megan’s attorneys dismissed Garcia’s claims in April 2024, calling them an attempt to “embarrass her” and labeling Garcia a “con artist.” They argued that the lawsuit exaggerated a simple wage dispute to gain publicity, stating: “Plaintiff…trumped it up with sensationalist claims of sex, debauchery, and workplace harassment for the sole purpose of seeking attention… and to tarnish the reputation of [Megan].”
Megan’s legal team has also presented evidence, including invoices and social media posts from the photographer, to refute Garcia’s claims. They further argued the case should be dismissed due to jurisdictional issues, noting neither party resides in California and the alleged incidents occurred elsewhere.
Garcia’s attorney, Ron Zambrano, countered, stating, “Megan Thee Stallion broke the law. Period. No one is lying here but her.” The case, now moved to New York, remains ongoing.
