Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce has reportedly taken significant steps to improve his home security after experiencing a terrifying burglary at his $6 million mansion.
Kelce, who is gearing up for the upcoming Super Bowl LIX against the Philadelphia Eagles, was reportedly left “really bothered” by the break-in and has spent thousands of dollars upgrading his security system to ensure his safety and peace of mind.
In the wake of the October 2024 robbery, Kelce installed 10 security cameras, new lights, motion detectors and an advanced alarm system at a total cost of $40,000, according to The U.S. Sun.
Additionally, the tight end reportedly purchased two guard dogs, a German Shepherd and an Anatolian Shepherd, for $9,000.

Kelce’s decision to invest on extra security measures came after losing $100,000 in jewelry, $20,000 in cash and personal items, including his first-ever Super Bowl jersey and a watch that was later recovered in Rhode Island.
A source close to Kelce, as reported by The U.S. Sun, revealed that the player felt an urgent need to address the situation.
“It was very uncomfortable to deal with,” the source said.
“Travis decided to do things the best way, investing money on alarms and security personnel and dogs to put himself in the safest situation possible. All he wants is to be safe.”
Kelce wasn’t the only NFL player targeted. His teammate, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, was also hit on the same day by what is believed to be an international crime ring.
