New Marvel fan art brings the DC TV actors Alan Ritchson and Brenton Thwaites over from the Titans universe, pitching them as Venom and Spider-Man.
Alan Ritchson and Brenton Thwaites trade in their Titans roles to become Venom and Spider-Man in stunning Marvel fan art. One of the comic mythologies to have gotten reimagined numerous times in live-action Spider-Man movies, with several actors playing the web-slinger, as well as many of his iconic super-villains. To this day, Spider-Man continues to be one of the most successful superheroes in Hollywood, with Sony having made major profits on the Marvel IP.
Art of Time Travel recently shared new artwork where he designed Ritchson and Thwaites as Eddie Brock and Peter Parker, respectively, showing a very different Venom and Spider-Man in the world of live-action. The designs are based on the latest live-action versions of Spider-Man and Venom.
Thwaites and Ritchson are no strangers to the superhero genre, as they starred together in the Titans TV show. Ritchson, who also portrayed Aquaman on Smallville, played Hank Hall, a.k.a. Hawk, while Thwaites portrayed Dick Grayson, a.k.a. Nightwing on Titans.
What Is Next For Spider-Man & Venom In Live-Action?
Sony Pictures has numerous plans for the web-crawler over the next couple of years. For starters, Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 4 movie is actively being developed by Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios, following the massive success of Spider-Man: No Way Home. While a director has yet to be hired, Spider-Man 4 will likely come out before the end of The Multiverse Saga.
In Sony’s Spider-Man Universe, Tom Hardy will lead the cast of Venom: The Last Dance, which is heading to theaters this fall. Plot details are being kept under wrap, but Venom: The Last Dance will seemingly pick up after Eddie’s visit to Earth-199999, as some set photos have indicated the film’s time setting. It’s unclear if this will be Hardy’s final time playing Venom or if he will show up in future projects based in Sony’s Spider-Man Universe.
Sony is also working together with MGM+ and Amazon Studios to develop multiple live-action Spider-Man TV shows, including Silk: Spider Society and Spider-Man Noir. Once Spider-Man 4 and Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse have both been released, Sony is set to finally get their live-action Miles Morales movie off the ground, according to Amy Pascal. With all of that coming up, time will tell what other Marvel projects are in store for Spider-Man across film and TV.
