The show’s popularity has been further boosted by the announcement of a seventh season on the streaming service, solidifying its status as a fan favorite. The show, based on Robyn Carr’s Virgin River novels, first debuted on 2019 and followed nurse practitioner Melinda “Mel” Monroe (Alexandra Breckenridge) as she moved to the Northern California town of Virgin River for a fresh start. Viewers are eagerly anticipating the return of Mel and Jack Sheridan (Martin Henderson) with their love story, but there’s a growing wave of support for characters who were previously considered “annoying”.

A Reddit user sparked the conversation by posting: “Lizzie has shown so much growth in her character, yet people are still annoyed by her character and I don’t know why.”

The fan also expressed support for other characters who may have been unfairly judged in past seasons, as reported by the Daily Record. “There are people that don’t like Jack and I get that he has some qualities that aren’t the best, but he’s a great guy. Brady needs a break. Please. Let him live a good life,” they pleaded.
