Teryl Rothery is a Canadian actress hailing from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. She was born on November 9, 1962, and as of this writing, she is 62 years old. Rothery was raised by her grandparents and has a daughter of her own named Londyn. Rothery is Catholic by faith.

Teryl Rothery had her first spark for acting at an early age. She started having dance lessons at the tender age of nine and thereafter has been actively working as a performer since around 1986. Her first forays into the performative arts were in the capacity of a dancer when she participated in a few musical productions at the age of thirteen and fourteen.

Stepping into adulthood, Rothery was given the opportunity to appear as a dancer on the variety television show, The Irish Rovers, while her first official television appearance happened at the age of eighteen with a television special by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation on the occasion of Halloween. While speaking in an interview with Chiffon Daily, Teryl Rothery opened up about her experience of playing Muriel Saint Claire on Virgin River. When asked about her similarity with the character, she stated:

“I’m very similar to Muriel as far as energy goes. Well, and of course the obvious that I’m an actress on the other side of 40. And we both have a vulnerability inside of us. I allow mine to be seen, whereas Muriel keeps it hidden behind that fabulous flirtatious side of her. She makes me laugh. I adore playing her. And in season 3 we started to see her allow some of that sensitive side of her show.”

When asked about her favorite thing about the Netflix show, Rothery added:

“My favorite thing about this show? Too many things to type, but I’ll begin with the Virgin River Family. That is what we are. Production, producers, writers, crew, etc. along with a fabulous cast. We all like to have fun. There is much laughter, and fabulous work on this show. In front of and behind the camera. We have endearing characters, stunning locations, action, love, romance, comedy, sadness and loss….the list goes on and on.”
