Sentry is coming to the MCU in the Thunderbolts and even the strongest MCU characters should be scared of this new powerhouse.

Phase 4 and 5 have had their fair share of issues, but the Marvel Cinematic Universe is still very popular, and its gallery of heroes is poised to grow even further. According to Marvel Comics, Sentry is the strongest superhuman on Earth, and he is set to join the MCU in 2025 with the upcoming Thunderbolts movie. Sentry can fight cosmic-level beings, which means that he is capable of defeating many of the characters who have already appeared in the MCU.

Sentry’s power is said to be equal to that of one million exploding suns, and he is invulnerable to most forms of damage. His superhuman physical abilities are immeasurable, and he can produce powerful energy blasts and force fields. He can teleport, absorb energy, and resurrect himself. His other powers include telekinesis and molecular manipulation. All these powers are the reason Sentry can defeat many of the MCU’s strongest characters.

10. Captain America’s Body Should Not Be Able To Withstand Sentry’s Superhuman Strength

Steve Rogers – otherwise known as Captain America – is recognized as Earth’s first superhero, and he has appeared in many of the MCU’s best scenes. After being injected with the Super Soldier Serum, Steve gained enhanced strength, speed, and durability. He is a master martial artist who wields a Vibranium shield, and he is capable of using Thor’s hammer.

In Avengers: Infinity War, he was strong enough to briefly hold Thanos back while he had most of the Infinity Stones. Sentry’s physical strength is on a completely different level though. He can rip an Olympian God in half with ease, so Captain America’s human body would not be an issue. Sentry should also be able to shatter Cap’s Vibranium shield with a single punch.

9. Sentry’s Powers Can Counter Kang The Conqueror’s Suit

MCU fans have met several Kang variants during the Multiverse Saga, and Kang the Conqueror is the variant that appears in Ant-Man and the Wap: Quantumania. This version of Kang is driven by power and revenge, and he does not mind destroying other universes.

He wears a special suit of armor which gives him superhuman physical abilities, but it also grants him a form of telekinesis. He can generate protective force fields and energy blasts that can destroy anything. Sentry can block Kang’s blasts with his force-fields, and he can counter Kang’s telekinesis with teleportation. He can also destroy Kang’s force field by absorbing its energy. In a melee fight, Sentry can smash Kang’s armor as if it were made out of cheap plastic.

8. Vision’s Strongest Abilities Can Be Countered By Sentry

Vision was killed in Avengers: Infinity War, but his body was rebuilt in Wandavision, and he has regained most of his memories. He is a synthezoid made from Vibranium, and he owed his life and abilities to the Mind Stone – which was embedded in his forehead. Vision is gifted with superhuman physical abilities, and he can phase through solid matter. He can also draw on the Mind Stone’s raw power by shooting energy beams that can slice through almost anything.

Sentry can absorb Vision’s energy blast, and if it does manage to kill him, he can resurrect himself. Sentry can counter Vision’s phase-based attacks by teleporting away. and he can easily overpower Vision with his superior superhuman strength.

7. Ultron’s Vibranium Body Would Not Save Him From Sentry’s Attacks

Indeed, Avengers; Age of Ultron divided fans, but no one can deny the fact that Ultron was an intimidating villain. His final body possesses superhuman durability because it is composed of Vibranium, and technology granted him telekinesis, flight, and concussive energy blasts that could either stun or kill.

Ultron’s body could withstand a punch from Hulk, but Sentry’s punches are far stronger, and he would be able to rip his robotic body apart. Sentry can melt through Ultron’s Vibranium with his various energy blasts, and there is a precedent for this because Ultron’s durability weakened when he was hit by Vision’s beam, Iron Man’s energy blasts, and Thor’s lightning.

6. Ronan The Accuser’s Strongest Weapon Cannot Harm Sentry

Ronan was a high-ranking Kree who despised the Xandarians. He hated them so much that he willingly betrayed Thanos by taking the Power Stone for himself. Like most Kree, Ronan possessed a superhuman physiology, and he wielded a special war hammer that could set off powerful concussive blasts.

When he embedded the Power Stone into his hammer, he was able to destroy the entire Nova Corps with a string of energy blasts. Sentry would be able to absorb the Power Stone’s blasts, and the hammer would not be able to damage him because his body is immune to virtually all forms of physical damage. He would also be able to shatter Ronan’s hammer with one hand.

5. Sentry Would Squash Spider-Man Like A Bug

Tom Holland’s Spider-Man has had several suits throughout his MCU run, and they have helped him take down some notable opponents. He possesses enough superhuman strength to catch or throw a car with little difficulty. He can also dodge incoming attacks thanks to his reflexes and agility.

Spider-Man may be able to lift a car, but Sentry can lift 100 tons. This implies that Sentry can literally use his strength to squash Spider-Man as if he were an actual insect. Spider-Man can try to restrain Sentry with his webbing, but Sentry can snap through the webbing like a string.

4. Hulk Has Been Overpowered By Sentry In The Past

Before Avengers: Endgame, many MCU fans considered Hulk to be the strongest Avenger. His superhuman durability is insane, but his greatest power is his near-limitless strength – which is powered by his rage. He could fight Thor on even footing, and he was able to defeat Fenris – the massive Asgardian dog that served Hela.

Hulk and Sentry have faced each other in the comics, and Sentry proved to be superior. Sentry still has not revealed the true limits of his strength, but he was able to break all of Hulk’s limbs with relative ease.

3. Thor Would Not Be The First God That Sentry Has Defeated

Thor has gradually become more powerful as the MCU has progressed, and he now wields a deadly battle-axe that can channel his lightning. He was born with the ability to generate and control electrical energy, and he finally gained full control of this power in Thor: Ragnarok. Even by Asgardian standards, Thor possesses great superhuman strength and durability.

Ares is the Greek God of War, and Sentry tore him apart in the comics, so he is more than strong enough to take out another God like Thor. Thor’s axe would not be able to pierce Sentry’s body, and his lightning would simply get absorbed.

2. Captain Marvel’s Cosmic Powers Would Be Negated

Carol Danvers – otherwise known as Captain Marvel – is a human who was exposed to the energy of the Tesseract in the late 1980s. The Tesseract was the vessel of the Space Stone, which explains why her body has been enhanced by cosmic energy. As a result, she can match Thanos’ physical strength while he is wearing the Infinity Gauntlet.

Captain Marvel’s cosmic energy blasts can destroy an entire fleet of battleships, and she can re-ignite a dead star. Unfortunately, this cosmic energy would be useless against Sentry because he can simply absorb it and fire similar blasts back at her. Captain Marvel survived one of Thanos’ enhanced punches, but Sentry can hit her with attacks that have the power of one million exploding suns.

1. Thanos Can Be Defeated By Sentry’s Energy Attacks

Thanos is the MCU’s best villain, and only a handful of characters can beat him in a fight. He gained God-like power when he collected the Infinity Stones, but he was already incredibly powerful without them. His Titan physiology provides him with immeasurable superhuman strength.

Thanos was able to fend off Captain America, Thor, and Iron Man at the same time, and he was able to overpower Hulk without the help of the Infinity Gauntlet. There is a chance that Thanos can match Sentry’s physical hits, but Sentry would be able to slice through him with an energy beam. This already happened to Thanos in an episode of What If…? If Thanos uses the Infinity Gauntlet, sentry can absorb the energy or teleport away from the attack.
