“The MCU is a lie”: One Interesting Marvel Theory Can be Kevin Feige’s Secret Weapon to Undo the Whole MCU Using Scarlet Witch

The Marvel Cinematic Universe’ Sacred Timeline might just be a consequence of a House of M scenario engineered by Wanda.

The MCU is now home to a diverse set of superhero factions. Be it Wakanda, The Avengers, Sorcerers, Secret Government Operatives, or Gods and Monsters, the MCU has been heavily populated by enhanced beings of all kinds. Yet, there have been no mutants in their ranks so far.

While fans are aware of the real-world reasons why the mutants could not appear in the MCU, Disney now has the right to use these characters again. Fans are curious as to how Kevin Feige will want to bring the mutants into the MCU, and one Reddit theory might have figured it out.

The MCU is the House of M timeline Elizabeth Olsen has been craving to do

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has no mutants among its superhero population, and that might be because Elizabeth Olsen‘s Wanda Maximoff might have created a House of M-type situation in this timeline already. A theory, posted to Reddit by u/Legitimate-Bet3221, suggests:

This is corroborated by the fact that two mutants that have been revealed in the MCU so far, Namor and Ms. Marvel, have only been revealed after Wanda Maximoff passed away in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. It could be that the nature of the spell is not removing mutants entirely, but suppressing their powers and their knowledge of their identities as a mutant.

This could mean that come Doctor Strange 3, or Avengers: Doomsday, mutants in the MCU will start resurfacing, remembering their powers and histories that have been raised by a young Scarlet Witch, who perhaps was bullied for being a mutant as a child, and lashed out with her powers.

Henry Cavill’s Wolverine may be from Earth 19999

Deadpool & Wolverine showed audiences a host of Wolverine variants from across multiple timelines. One of the variants that audiences saw pop up was a Wolverine played by Henry Cavill. Wolverine fans have known for a long time that Hugh Jackman had a lot of trouble playing Wolverine in his later years, and might play the character just a few more times.

Henry Cavill is still young and can carry Wolverine as a character for some time to come. Given that the fan reaction to the character has been great, it would not go without saying that he might just be the perfect choice to play Wolverine in the MCU. The character, played by Cavill, could be expected to make another appearance when if it is revealed that the MCU indeed has been a sanitized timeline that was maintained by Wanda, Kang and Doom.

Deadpool & Wolverine is currently playing in theatres.
