The Lincoln Lawyer Season 4 Update Hints at Release Date Window

The Lincoln Lawyer Season 4: Will It Happen? Everything We Know

The Lincoln Lawyer Season 3 ended on a cliffhanger, leaving fans of the Netflix series wanting more. While the streaming giant is yet to officially renew the legal drama series for Season 4, recent updates from another source may excite the fans, as they tease the release date window for the next season.

The Lincoln Lawyer Season 4 could get a late 2025 or 2026 release date

The writers’ room for The Lincoln Lawyer Season 4 is ready, as per the official website of the Writers Guild of America West. Moreover, the update hints that the season could be released sometime between 2025 and 2026.

Showrunners Ted Humphrey and Dailyn Rodriguez are part of the team. Other individuals who appear on the list are executive producers Matthew J. Lieberman, Humphrey, Ryan Hoang Williams, Dailyn Rodriguez, Michael Connelly, Gladys Rodriguez, producer Lisa Quintela, and staff writer Katy Erin.

The Lincoln Lawyer is an adaptation of the Mickey Haller book series by Michael Connelly. The Netflix show is named after the very first book, published in 2005. Season 1 premiered on May 13, 2022. Season 2 was split into two equal parts that came out on July 6, 2023, and August 3, 2023, respectively. The third and most recent season debuted on October 17, 2024.

As mentioned above, Season 3 wrapped with a cliffhanger. A police officer stops Haller on the streets of LA and discovers the body of Sam Scales in his trunk. At the time, Dailyn Rodriguez told TV Insider, “We always set up sort of the next case of the season. This one won’t quite set up the next case, but it will definitely set up the next book.”

Meanwhile, Humphrey promised that the third season would “propel” the story in “a very exciting and personal way into a Season 4.”

Notably, the ending of Season 3 effectively sets up what Haller goes through in Book 6, The Law of Innocence (2020), making it a likely candidate for adaptation in the potential fourth season.
