“Wearing purple underlines how important that role is to her and why she chose this event to make her second public appearance of the year. It’s also the color of courage, which could be a nod to what she is going through.”

She’s going to do things her way, regardless of what anyone has to say about it. There’s a new report that suggests Kate Middleton is not going to feel pressured to do this. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.

Kate Middleton Is Not Going To Feel Pressured To Do This

There’s a new report that suggests the Princess of Wales is not going to attend Christmas with the royal family this year if she’s not feeling up to it.

As many royal fans are aware of, Kate Middleton has been dealing with her cancer battle and has only completed her chemotherapy treatments recently.

For the most part, Prince William’s wife has been keeping under the radar during her cancer battle and has only begun making public appearances recently. And while she does want to get back to work, she also wants to take things one step at a time, too.

Not only that, but it’s also been suggested that members of the royal family would be completely understanding if Kate decided to prioritize her health and not travel to Sandringham for all of the Christmas festivities this year.

Kate Middleton Is Not Going To Feel Pressured To Do This

“Kate is on the guest list for this year’s Christmas gathering,” one source close to the situation said. “She’s keen to join her children and family to celebrate the holidays, but there’s no pressure for her to attend.”

What’s Next For The Princess Of Wales?

“Obviously everyone is looking forward to having her there, but if she doesn’t feel up to it on the day, the family will understand.”

So far Kate Middleton herself has not made any comments about her holiday plans just yet, but it wouldn’t be surprising to anyone if she did show up for Christmas dinner with the royals.

After all, she has taken on some of her royal engagements again and has made it pretty clear that she wants her life to go back to the way it was before she was diagnosed with her cancer.

Kate Middleton crying at Wimbledon: What happened to her?

British royal family news divulges that Princess Catherine will go down in history books as one of the most popular UK royals of all time. She is demure, self-effacing, humble, and recently beat cancer.

She will be queen one day, when her husband William, Prince of Wales takes the throne following the death of his father and the current regent, King Charles.

It seems as if there is nothing Kate Middleton can’t accomplish, but there is one hurdle she had to overcome on her way to the throne. Keep reading to discover how the late Queen Elizabeth, arguably the most beloved royal (in any country) of all time chose not to honor Kate.

Prince William Is Married to Princess Catherine

According to a prior article in The Telegraph, Prince William “wants to continue to be known as that. He wants Kate to become Princess Catherine.” But that was not a given, as royal expert Kenneth Rose said at the time: “Kate is a commoner and could not be known as ‘Princess Catherine.’”

Today Catherine is known as the Princess of Wales, but “Her Majesty … didn’t make Kate a titled princess upon her marriage to William.”

Princess Catherine Beat Cancer

Instead, Prince William and Kate Middleton were styled as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge upon their marriage; another option would have been for her to be titled “Princess William.”

Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth died in September 2022 upon which time, according to custom, her eldest son and heir King Charles ascended the throne.

At that time William and Kate became the Prince and Princess of Wales as well as the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall. Prior to this Charles was styled the Prince of Wales, although his second wife Camilla did not take that title given that the late Diana, Charles’ first wife, used the moniker.

Titles Matter To The Royal Family

When Kate was given the Princess of Wales title a source told the Daily Mail that she “appreciates the history associated with this role but will understandably want to look to the future as she creates her own path.”

“The couple are focused on deepening the trust and respect of the people of Wales over time. The Prince and Princess of Wales will approach their roles in the modest and humble way they’ve approached their work previously.”

This year, King Charles, who was diagnosed with cancer at the same time as Kate, bestowed a new title on his daughter-in-law: Royal Companion of The Order of the Companions of Honour.
