Lindsay Lohan could soon be suiting up as a superhero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

A former child star, Lindsay Lohan is known for starring in hit films like The Parent Trap and Mean Girls. She has yet to land a role in the MCU, but that seems to be what’s up next on Lohan’s wish list. Per Us Magazine, Lohan is interested in joining the MCU, and she has reportedly managed to get her foot in the door at Marvel Studios. According to the magazine, Lohan is “in talks to play a vixen superhero” in the MCU, though a specific character was not named.

Lohan recently returned to the big screen with a cameo appearance in the Mean Girls reboot, which premiered in theaters in January. That followed her prior starring role in the holiday movie Falling for Christmas, which debuted with high viewership on Netflix in 2022. In recent years, Lohan has also been doing voiceover work with voice roles for Syfy’s Devil May Care and Prime Video’s Lovestruck High. Lohan also just confirmed that there are plans in motion to reunite with Jamie Lee Curtis for Freaky Friday 2.

This seems to be a dream role for Lohan that may become a reality. In 2022, she commented on the kinds of roles she was looking to take on next with her career. Lohan addressed how she hadn’t been able to star in an action film, and that had her teasing that she’d be up to collaborate with Marvel on a superhero project.

“I think I’m always the kind of person that I see what comes and take it as it comes, wherever the scripts lead me,” Lohan told Forbes. “I love doing ‘rom coms’ so that’s always something that I’m going to look for and do a ton of when the time is right, but there’s definitely other – I’ve never done an action film. I would love to do something with Marvel – just seeing what comes my way and I’m open to different roles.”

It’s not just Marvel, as Lohan has also teased how she’d be up for joining a DC project. In 2018, Lohan shared her regret that her troubled past was keeping her from being considered for projects she would want to be a part of, naming a then-planned Batgirl movie as an example.

“I’ve learned my lessons,” Lohan said on The Wendy Williams Show. “But then it distracts from actually maybe meeting with people to do Batgirl or maybe doing a Mean Girls 2. It really distracts people. They only think about the negative, and I don’t think that’s a way to move forward in life.”
