Rumored Daredevil Revival Sparks Speculation: Élodie Yung’s Stunning Elektra Makeover Revealed

Élodie Yung’s Elektra Nachos gets a brand-new superhero costume in new fan art ahead of her potential return to the MCU in Daredevil: Born Again.

Elodie Yung's Elektra in Marvel Television's Daredevil and The Defenders series

After starring as Elektra Natchios in Marvel Television’s Daredevil, Élodie Yung has been imagined returning in Marvel Studios’ Daredevil: Born Again in a new and improved superhero suit. Élodie Yung debuted as Elektra Natchios in Daredevil season 2, introduced as the ex-partner to Matt Murdock in the MCU, and student of Murdock’s mentor, Stick, who was also gifted with incredible combat skills. Elektra was later revealed as the Black Sky, a role she embraced after being resurrected in The Defenders, shortly before meeting her demise. However, since the Defenders Saga has now been made MCU canon, Élodie Yung may return.

Although she hasn’t been confirmed to be returning to the MCU, Élodie Yung’s reappearance as Elektra Natchios in Daredevil: Born Again may be more likely now than ever before. This reprisal has been imagined in powerful new fan art shared by Arifinity.

Arifinity’s art imagines Elektra Natchios in an updated superhero costume, though continuing her black-and-red themes from Daredevil and The Defenders. Elektra’s new costume has been depicted in a brand-new horned helmet, and with Daredevil’s “DD” logo from Marvel Comics, which has been speculated to be gifted to Matt Murdock in Born Again, but not confirmed by Marvel Studios.

Élodie Yung’s Return In Daredevil: Born Again Is More Likely Than Ever

Despite nothing being confirmed, it may be more likely than ever before that Élodie Yung could be returning as Elektra Natchios in Daredevil: Born Again. Yung herself has suggested several times that she would be happy to reprise the role, and since The Defenders left her fate uncertain, it’s very possible that she could return. Most recently, Yung spoke to toofab and suggested that she would love to return, but that they’d need to “Ask Mr. Marvel.” This certainly leaves the door open for her return, and Marvel Studios may be more inclined to bring her back after recent developments.

Oh my gosh, I would love that. It’s so funny because my fans are like, ‘Can you come back?’ and I’m like, ‘Ask Mr. Marvel, you have to ask Mr. Marvel for that, not me.

Following the creative overhaul of Daredevil: Born Again after 2023’s WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, many actors from Marvel Television’s Daredevil were confirmed to be returning in Daredevil: Born AgainThe Defenders Saga was officially introduced into the MCU canon, suggesting that Daredevil’s story will properly continue in Born Again, and the returns of Deborah Ann Woll’s Karen Page, Elden Henson’s Foggy Nelson, Wilson Bethel’s Benjamin Poindexter, a.k.a. Bullseye, and Ayelet Zurer’s Vanessa Fisk prove that Born Again is practically Daredevil season 4. The fact that Elektra’s story may be unfinished means she would make an excellent addition to Born Again.

Marvel Studios’ upcoming Deadpool & Wolverine is set to feature a cameo appearance by Jennifer Garner’s Elektra Natchios from 2003’s Daredevil movie. This will mark the first appearance of an Elektra variant in the Multiverse Saga, and could create the opportunity for Élodie Yung’s Elektra Natchios to pop up in the MCU’s future. Marvel Studios’ highly-anticipated Daredevil: Born Again series may feature many of the MCU’s street-level heroes, whether they be bona fide superheroes or more violent and aggressive antiheroes, such as Jon Bernthal’s Frank Castle, so a reprisal of Élodie Yung’s Elektra Natchios would fit into the roster perfectly.
