Royal Family’s tension with Prince Harry laid bare ahead of Christmas reunion

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expected to spend Christmas in the US with their children Archie and Lilibet.

The tension between the Royal Family and Prince Harry has been laid bare by a royal insider ahead of monarchy members spending time together at Sandringham over the festive period.

Up to 45 members of the monarchy and their extended family will spend time together over Christmas.

However, Prince Harry will not be joining them as the Duke of Sussex has not been invited, according to the Mail.

The royal source told the publication: “Relations between Harry and his family are not sufficiently close for an invitation to be sent.

“It’s very sad that things are that bad. We know that Harry wants to mend fences, but there is an awfully long way to go.”

Harry and Meghan are expected to spend Christmas in the US with their children Archie and Lilibet.

Earlier this week, the Prince of Wales admitted he is “not ready” for Christmas, despite looking forward to festive celebrations with 45 family members at Sandringham House.

The Prince of Wales made the candid confession during a seasonal event for military families in Wiltshire on Tuesday.

“Am I ready for Christmas? No, no way am I ready,” the future king revealed.

William shared that he was eagerly anticipating spending the big day with dozens of relatives “all in one room”, noting that the family are “normally spread out”.

The Prince and Princess of Wales, along with their children George, Charlotte and Louis, are expected to join King Charles and Queen Camilla at the Norfolk estate.

William’s Christmas update came just days after he and his children joined the Princess of Wales for her Together at Christmas carol service.

It was the second year in a row all three of the Prince and Princess of Wales’s children attended the event.

It was the fourth year in a row the Princess of Wales hosted the service which was founded in 2021.

It was also the second year in a row all three of the Prince and Princess of Wales’s children attended the event.

Kate’s siblings Pippa and James Middleton both attended the service.

They were joined by George, Charlotte and Louis’ grandmother Carole Middleton, however, King Charles and Queen Camilla did not attend the event.
