Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have lost ties with many of their high-profile connections, as the couple continues to navigate their rift with the Royal Family.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have lost touch with many of their Hollywood friends as they continue to deal with the fallout from their split with the Royal Family.

The pair were once close friends with the likes of George Clooney and Victoria Beckham, but they’ve seemed to have developed frostier relationships in recent years. PR expert Ronn Torossian believes the reason behind these crumbling relationships is clear.

“It’s clear that several of Meghan’s high-profile friendships have cooled over the past few years,” he said. “Meghan herself indirectly highlighted this recently when she gifted a limited batch of her American Riviera Orchard Jams.”

Meghan’s close friends including Oprah Winfrey and Tyler Perry didn’t publicly post about her new product, leaving many to speculate they had fallen out. Speaking to The Express, Torossian added: “The lack of public support or the lack of gifting, would speak to the cooling of these relationships and the shrinking of her Hollywood circle.”

Explaining the possible rifts, he added: “The ongoing media scrutiny and public controversies surrounding Harry and Meghan makes associating with them less appealing for some celebrities. Additionally, some may want to avoid any potential fallout with the reigning British Royal Family.”

Since distancing themselves from the Royal Family, the Sussexes have unleashed several bombshells that have stirred controversy, ranging from Prince Harry’s revealing memoir to their candid Netflix documentary series.

It’s been suggested they could ditch more pals

Torossian’s comments come after it was suggested Meghan could also sever ties with TV personality Ellen DeGeneres. The speculation comes following allegations of a “toxic” workplace culture on The Ellen Show, which prompted the host to end the show in 2022.

Earlier this month, Ellen announced that after her existing contractual obligations end, she will be leaving showbiz. She said: “This is the last time you’re going to see me.. After my Netflix special, I’m done.”

Royal commentator Charlotte Griffiths believes Ellen’s downfall will also cause the end of her relationship with Meghan. During an appearance on Palace Confidential, she said: “[She’s unfriended] family members, Suits co-stars, her best friend Jessica Mulroney whose children were page boys at the royal wedding.

“I think she’s a bit strategic with her friends and once she’s finished with them, she casts them aside and forgets all about them, deletes their number and blocks their number in some cases.”
