It’s always fascinating to see which members of a family will look alike. The royal family is no different. Princess Eugenie was recently on vacation in Jamaica with her husband, Jack Brooksbank, and their two sons August and Ernest, and in a picture shared from one of their travel companions, August bears a strong resemblance to cousin Prince Harry.
Princess Eugenie and her family joined friends for some fun in the sun. In one photo shared by friend Brendan Fallis on Instagram, Eugenie and Jack sit together with 7-month-old Ernest in his dad’s lap. Two-year-old August stands in the middle of the group with other kids his age. His deep red hair makes him stand out, and you can see how much he looks like cousin Prince Harry and even Harry’s son, Archie.
Princess Eugenie and Prince Harry have a close relationship
It’s funny that of all the royals to look alike, Eugenie’s son looks like Prince Harry. The close relationship between Harry and Eugenie is a well documented one, even now that Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, are no longer working members of the royal family. Eugenie and Jack got married at the same venue that Harry and Meghan did, only five months after the Sussexes tied the knot.
In his memoir Spare, Prince Harry revealed that he and Markle told members of the family that they were expecting their first child at Eugenie and Jack’s wedding. He wrote about being “deliriously happy” for the couple, and pushing back their royal tour by a few days to attend the wedding.
“Also, the various gatherings connected to the wedding would give us a chance to pull aside family members one by one and tell them our good news,” he wrote.
Even though Harry and Meghan now live in the States, his relationship with his cousin is still close. Last September, he and Meghan stopped in Portugal, where Eugenie and her family live part-time, for a few days, presumably to spend some time with them.
“They’re still the best of friends and talk constantly,” a source told People last year about Harry and Eugenie, as well as her sister Princess Beatrice.
During King Charles’ coronation, Harry was seen with the sisters and their husbands while Meghan stayed at home with their children.
Royal fans couldn’t help but notice the resemblance between Princess Eugenie’s son, August, and Prince Harry’s daughter Lilibet in a recent post shared to Instagram.
In honor of her son’s second birthday Thursday, Eugenie shared a video of the toddler dancing to “Jive Talkin’” by the Bee Gees.
“Happy 2nd Birthday to our boy Augie.. you are our worlds greatest joy,” she captioned the sweet clip. “Keep dancing and smiling my angel. Xx”
While many followers rushed to wish August a happy birthday, others pointed out the striking similarities to her cousin’s two children — Archie, 3, and Lilibet, 1.

While third fan chimed in saying, “At first I thought he was Archie.. lol.”
Eugenie — who is pregnant with her second child — welcomed August just a few months before Harry and Meghan Markle expanded their brood.
Not only do the distant cousins look alike, but sources told Us Weekly they’ve grown close despite living thousands of miles apart.
“Eugenie and Harry and Meghan have an unbreakable bond,” the insider revealed. “They’re in regular communication and FaceTime at least once every couple of months with the children.”
