To celebrate Princess Beatrice’s 36th birthday, her “little sissy” shared three new photos on Instagram with a sweet tribute.
Princess Beatrice’s 36th birthday wasn’t complete without an Instagram tribute from her “little sissy,” Princess Eugenie.
Princess Eugenie, 34, marked Princess Beatrice’s birthday on Aug. 8 by penning a sweet tribute to her big sister on her personal Instagram page, sharing a sweet nickname for her sibling.
“Happy birthday dearest Beabea!!” Eugenie wrote on Instagram alongside three never-before-seen photos featuring her sibling.
“What an inspiration you are,” she continued. “You’ve paved the way for your little sissy. Love you xx.”
The first photo showed Princess Beatrice jumping with raised arms while exploring the outdoors.
In the second photo of the series, taken in the same spot, Princess Eugenie joined her sister as they leaped together on a now-visible trampoline.
The final photo showed Princess Beatrice in full aunt mode, wearing a pair of bunny ears and smiling at one of Eugenie’s sons, who is seated on a blanket on the grass surrounded by yellow flowers.
In addition to being a proud aunt to Princess Eugenie’s sons August, 3, and Ernest, 1 (whom she shares with husband Jack Brooksbank, 38), Princess Beatrice is a mom herself to stepson Wolfie, 8, and daughter Sienna, 2, with husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, 40.
The sisters’ mother, Sarah Ferguson, also celebrated Princess Beatrice’s birthday with an Instagram tribute, calling her “the most amazing daughter, mother, stepmother, sister, wife and woman.”
“I feel so privileged to be able to learn from you every day,” the Duchess of York, 64, added. “You continue to inspire me and those around you with your warmth, curiosity and zest for life. I love you. Happy birthday.”
In October 2023, Princess Eugenie appeared on Kate Thornton’s White Wine Question Time podcast, where she spoke about her sister being her “best friend.”
“She’s annoying when she wants to be, and I’m really annoying to her back, but we love each other — best of friends,” Eugenie said. “She’s a great mum. I always ring her for nearly everything: ‘What do I do about this? What do I do about that?’ Same goes for my mum. Literally, constant.”
Princess Eugenie added that she and Princess Beatrice have always relied on each other, telling Thornton, “We’re the only ones going through exactly what the other is going through at exactly that time as a girl,” she said. “In our family, our place of work, whatever it is. You go through life knowing exactly what the other one is going through. She’s my big sissy. She’s a legend.”
