Fitzwilliams emphasized that Harry needs to come to terms with the consequences of betraying the family. It is not just about escaping the responsibilities he disliked as a working royal, but also losing the things he cherished. This realization has undoubtedly taken an emotional toll on him.
However, Prince Harry has shown remarkable resilience in the face of adversity. At a recent event commemorating the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games, he proudly wore the KCVO Neck Order and Star, honors bestowed upon him by Queen Elizabeth II. Royal author Tom Quinn interpreted this gesture as Harry’s way of asserting his worth and reminding his family of his significant contributions.
The timing of William’s new title has also triggered speculation about the already strained relationship between Harry and their father, King Charles III. Harry’s recent visit to the U.K. did not include a meeting with his father, leading to increased public scrutiny and criticism towards the King’s priorities.
It is understandable that Prince Harry would be upset when a significant role or title is taken away. Family dynamics and responsibilities within the royal household can be complex, and emotions can run high. Harry’s reaction serves as a reminder that even members of the royal family are not immune to these feelings.
If you say the Oprah tell-all, ‘Spare,’ Netflix docuseries ‘Harry and Meghan,’ Meghan mockingly re-enacting her first curtsy to the late Queen Elizabeth for the public pleasure, Harry banging on about ‘generational pain,’ caused the rift between the Sussexes and the Royal Family, you’re partly wrong, in Harry’s view at least.
Prince Harry – Says the Press “Destroyed” His Relationship With His Family
On Thursday July 25, Prince Harry’s interview with ITV will air. In highlights of the interview, we saw Harry talk about the profound effects press intrusion had on his life and how it affected his relationships.
We had previously heard Harry claim during a court session that phone hacking and press pressure led to the dissolution of his relationship with his ex-girlfriend Chelsy Davy. Now in a recent interview, he is blaming it as the reason a massive rift currently exists between him and his family.
In a preview clip from the documentary, journalist Becca Barry is seen asking the royal: “To what extent do you think your determination to fight the tabloids destroyed your relationship with your family?
family results in a torrent of abuse from the press. I have made it very clear that this is something that needs to be done.
Harry continues, “It would be nice if we did it as a family, I believe from a service standpoint and when you are in a public role these are the things we should be doing for the greater good. I am doing this for my reasons.”
Barry then asks: “What do you think of their decision not to fight in the way you have?”
Harry responds, “I think that everything that has played out has shown people what the truth of the matter is, for me the mission continues. I think as you say, it has caused part of a rift.”
Speaking of his victory against Mirror Group Newspapers, he boasts, “To go in there and come out and have the judge rule in our favour was obviously huge. To be able to achieve that in a trial is a monumental victory.”
