Prince Harry is expected to head back to the UK for a significant period now that Birmingham has been picked to host the 2027 Invictus Games.
Prince Harry this week secured the “perfect excuse” to return to the UK after years of short visits following his decision to step down from the Royal Family.
It was announced this week that the 2027 edition of the Invictus Games would be hosted by Birmingham after the selection committee picked the West Midlands city over Washington DC.
Commentator Kinsey Schofield argued the move would offer a “homesick” Duke of Sussex a great opportunity to spend time in the UK – and possibly be with his family.
Speaking to Sky News Australia, the To Di For Daily host said: “I think that he’s homesick, quite honestly. I think he’s looking for any reason, any excuse to get back there.
“It’s widely reported that his dad doesn’t take all of his phone calls, maybe this is the perfect excuse for him to go spend a significant time over there.”
