Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is seen in a throwback video from one of his notorious White Parties, where he warned guests to ‘put the kids away’ as the event was about to take a dark turn.
Infamous music mogul Sean ‘P Diddy’ Combs has been caught on old film footage telling guests to “put the kids away” at one of his wild White Parties.
Caught up in legal trouble and now without bail at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center due to serious allegations including sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy, Diddy appears in a throwback clip from what looks like a Hamptons bash thought to be from the 90s or early 2000s.
Dressed head-to-toe in white and clutching a champagne flute, the 54 year old celebrity can be seen addressing the crowd from a raised position, stating: “We fed you all, we gave you drinks, now it’s time to enjoy life. This is a celebration of life.”
The video, which made the rounds after being released by The Daily Mail, shows him encouraging adult-only entertainment with the words: “This is the real White Party. Kids have an hour left [then] this thing turns into something that when you get older, this is something y’all gonna want to come to… so let’s just start to get our groove on, put the kids away.”
He adds cheerfully, “It’s all good. All right DJ let’s hit it. Let’s do it.”
These opulent parties are remembered for moments of excess, with videos showing women in minimal attire performing provocative acts from feeding champagne to a man to two bare-chested women kissing during a champagne downpour.
The scandal-hit rapper and producer Diddy, famed for his extravagant white-themed bashes that attract a host of stars like Ashton Kutcher, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jay-Z and Beyonce, diva Mariah Carey, Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee, heiress Paris Hilton, as well as former flame Jennifer Lopez who was with him between 1999 to 2001.
Music industry whistle-blower Tom Swoope has spilled the beans on the controversial behind-the-scenes action at these exclusive do’s, claiming there are different “tiers” of party access.
Swoope accuses that in the super-secret levels, attendees could even be subjected to sexual degradation for a shot at cash or record contracts.
Furthermore, he has exposed claims of rampant drug use at these shindigs, with party-goers allegedly snorting cocaine and popping ecstasy off various surfaces, including human bodies.
On an old chat with Oprah Winfrey back in 2006, Diddy painted his White Party as a space where the glitzy image of hip-hop gets nullified: “I wanted to strip away everyone’s image and put us all in the same color and on the same level.”
Yet, Swoope now argues that Diddy’s reasons for holding such opulent festivities go beyond creating unity and are more about flexing power and dominance.
Despite pleading not guilty to charges of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking, Diddy is preparing for a tough legal battle ahead after his bail was denied last week.
