Giancarlo Esposito plays coy about who he is supposedly playing in Captain America: Brave New World after the movie’s trailer teased the character he is set to appear as in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2025. Following the ending of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier TV show, Sam Wilson’s time as Captain America is getting a bigger spotlight, this time headlining his own movie in the MCU timeline. Captain America: Brave New World will explore Sam as the titular hero, having fully taken over after Steve Rogers’ retirement.

The character I’m playing is a badass. That always excites me. For me to develop that character in line with the character’s inception is a fascinating art for me. I had an incredible time shooting it. I’m not telling you who I’m playing…people are trying to guess and no one has guessed correctly yet.

Esposito has teased numerous times that his MCU role will be significant, raising the question of who he is actually playing in Captain America: Brave New World. One of the theories that has been gaining a lot of traction lately is the idea of Esposito playing George Washington Bridge, a talented mercenary who is affiliated with the Six Pack team. While G.W.
