Netflix star’s wildly X-rated text to heartthrob Adam Brody will leave you blushing

There’s no denying that Adam Brody left everyone more than a little hot under the collar with his role in Nobody Wants This, but it turns out his co-star got very excited rewatching the series for the first time.

The 44-year-old appeared as Rabbi Noah in the hugely popular Netflix series, who falls in love with agnostic sex podcast host Joanne (Kristen Bell).

Their blossoming romance comes to the surprise of his brother, Sasha (Timothy Simons) and Morgan, Joanne’s sister and co-presenter played by Justine Lupe.

The show became an instant hit as fans rushed to rave about the hilariously relatable script, as well as that kiss and the four little words that left the world swooning.

Adam was joined by Justine and Timothy for a talk about all things Nobody Wants This at 92NY this week when talk turned to one particular scene which led to a wildly X-rated text message…

Unpacking the scene where Noah tells Joanne that he can ‘handle’ her – after she develops the ick – Timothy confessed that he sent a very NSFW message to praise his co-star in their cast group chat.

‘I’m going to say something that I shouldn’t,’ he said, to laugher from the audience. ‘There’s a joke on the cast text thread, and I think it is that exact moment when you’re like, “I can handle you.”

‘I texted everybody to say, “Adam Brody has made America’s p***y so wet that everybody [is slipping on their] floor.”’

Adam shared that he was baffled about how to respond to the ‘compliment’, for fear that it would be misconstrued by others.

‘I barely even responded to that text, because I was like, “This is going to get out someday,”’ the OC star quipped.

This clearly didn’t stop his castmate, as he added: ‘I’m just going to own it. They’re trying to get across the kitchen floor and they cannot… And it’s because Adam Brody said, “I can handle you”.

‘It’s a really wonderful scene! You did a great job!

‘I almost slipped off the chair.’

Never change, Timothy…

Nobody Wants This has been renewed for a second season (Picture: Netflix)

Nobody Wants This was devoured by the audience when it premiered in September and, unsurprisingly, it has already been renewed for a second season – but there are some changes ahead.

Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan – who both worked on Girls – will be serving as showrunners and executive producers, while Erin Foster, who created the series, will be remaining as an executive producer.

‘Creating Nobody Wants This will forever be a career highlight for me,’ Erin said, via Variety.

‘The incredible cast, crew, producers and executives all made this into the show it is today, and to experience viewers’ reactions to this series now that it’s out in the world has been more than anything I could have dreamed.

‘I’m so lucky to be able to continue this story, and to do it alongside Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan, who I’ve been such a fan of since Girls… Justice for healthy relationships being the most romantic!’
