Sofia Carson is giving an update on a potential sequel for her hit movie Purple Hearts.

If you don’t know, Purple Hearts follows Cassie, a struggling singer-songwriter, and Luke (Nicholas Galitzine), a troubled marine, who in spite of having many differences, agree to marry solely for military benefits. But when tragedy strikes, the line between real and pretend begins to blur.

The movie was released back in July 2022 and fans instantly fell in love. Sofia was originally asked about a sequel back then and now she’s giving another update, two and a half years later.

Sofia is currently promoting her latest Netflix movie Carry On, which has been the number one movie this past week.

“There are conversations. That’s all I’ll say,” Sofia told Variety about a Purple Hearts sequel.

She added, “I love Cassie, and I loved making this film, and I feel so passionate and so protective of it. So I’m very protective of how and if the sequel happens But it’s extraordinary that I get asked so much about it. Even just that is a gift. I know fans really loved it.”
