After surviving a major snowplow accident last year, Jeremy Renner shows his extraordinary progress through a new video of the Hawkeye star’s workout.
Hawkeye actor Jeremy Renner has shared an update on his impressive recovery from a major accident in a new workout video. Renner was pulled under a massive snowplow after trying to save his nephew from getting struck by the heavy machine. The January 1, 2023, accident resulted in the Marvel Cinematic Universe actor breaking over 30 bones, which sent Renner on a long journey of recovery to be able to return for future MCU movies, other films and series, and even day-to-day tasks. Thankfully, the actor seems to be on the way to top shape.
Renner looks great, showing off his impressive physique after over a year of recovery from his life-threatening accident. The actor captioned the video with, “I’m not always excited nor motivated, but I tend to push harder those days.” Renner’s determination is paying off, with the actor, who was part of some of the MCU’s best movies, making a solid recovery.
Where Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye Could Appear Next In The MCU
Clint Barton Has A Few Possible Projects Lined Up
With the actor getting back to top shape over a year after his major snowplow accident, Renner could soon return to the MCU as Hawkeye. While that future was once in question due to the extensive injuries sustained by the actor, Renner has already revealed that he wants to return as Hawkeye. Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Renner said, “I’m always game. I’m gonna be strong enough, that’s for sure. I’ll be ready.”
Renner does not have a confirmed project to return as Hawkeye; however, a few announced MCU movies could include Clint Barton. After two Phases without a film for Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, the MCU will release Avengers: The Kang Dynasty in 2026 and Avengers: Secret Wars in 2027. As one of the few remaining original Avengers in the MCU, Hawkeye could take on a leadership role in the new Avengers team to help take the fight to the Council of Kangs.
Alternatively, the MCU has been setting up the Young Avengers throughout movies and series, and Renner’s Hawkeye would be a great mentor for the team. Based on his experience as an Avenger and connection to Hailee Steinfeld’s Kate Bishop, Hawkeye could be the Young Avengers’ link to the main team, helping the heroes get started as a functioning squad. Hawkeye could also lead his own Avengers team, with the MCU having introduced multiple characters who are part of the comics’ West Coast Avengers, which could give Renner a major vehicle.
