Meghan Markle has been slammed by the former editor of Vanity Fair and accused of ‘having the worst judgment in the world”.

Royal author Tina Brown, who wrote Princess Diana’s 2007 biography, criticised the Duchess of Sussex during an appearance on The Ankler Podcast to promote her new Substack newsletter, Fresh Hell.

Brown said: “The trouble with Meghan is that she has the worst judgment of anyone in the entire world.”

She continued: “She’s flawless about getting it all wrong, all of her ideas are total c**p, unfortunately.”

Brown had previously described the Duke and Duchess of Sussex as “addicted to drama” and described them stepping back as senior working royals as a “disaster”.

The 70-year-old former Vanity Fair Editor described Prince Harry as “the lamb to the slaughter in this situation.”

She added: “He just sort of blindly followed her like a child, really.”

Brown is often critical of the Royal Family and Meghan Markle, including in her 2022 book The Palace Papers: Inside the House of Windsor, the Truth and the Turmoil.

She released a biography titled The Diana Chronicles in 2007.

The author previously described stepping back as working royals as “hotheaded” and “bad choices”.

She believes the Palace advisors always thought Harry would leave the Royal Family.

Brown added she was told it was because “He was so fragile, so combustible, he was so unhappy, frankly, in the constraints of the Royal Family”.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped back from official royal duties in January 2020 and moved to California six months later.

They have recently bought a property in Portugal in a return to Europe after King Charles evicted the pair from the Frogmore Cottage early last year.

Meghan Markle, wife of Prince Harry, has previously been praised by fans after opening up about the mental health “trauma” she says she experienced in the years since her marriage into the Royal Family.

The mother of two first revealed in a 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey that she had considered ending her own life a year after she married the prince due to heavy criticism from tabloid press and social media users.

Former BBC royal correspondent Jenny Bond said: “I am truly sorry that Meghan was subjected to abuse and bullying during her pregnancies and beyond… No one should have to read disgusting abuse like that at any point in their lives.”
