Meghan Markle’s blown chance to ‘win hearts of millions’ revealed before quitting Royals

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been feuding with the Royal Family for years, but one expert believes it all could have turned out different if they’d have stayed

Meghan Markle Anxious About Returning to the U.K. in May

Meghan Markle could have “won the hearts of millions” if she had stayed in the Royal Family, according to an expert.

The Duchess of Sussex and her husband Prince Harry left the Royal Family back in 2020, with their exit sparking a massive rift within the family. It’s been claimed Harry and Meghan left The Firm because she “didn’t like playing second fiddle”.

Now, PR expert Ryan McCormick has suggested the Sussexes would have benefited from remaining part of the Royal Family and said Meghan would have been “utilized” with King Charles and Princess Kate currently recovering from cancer. Speaking exclusively to The Mirror US, Ryan explained: “While Meghan has achieved a level of fame that few others have, I imagine her expectations don’t match the present reality.

“There have been previous Royal Family members who were individuals of courageous character that bucked traditional trends and won the hearts of millions. From a PR perspective, I don’t think Meghan has joined this club yet.”

However, the expert said it could have turned out completely different. “Had the Duchess never left Buckingham Palace, one can imagine all the ways the family would have likely utilized her in the wake of Kate’s health tribulations,” Ryan said.

“It could have garnered a lot of positive sentiment from the public with even Markle’s harshest critics going quieter.” His comments come after royal commentator Sarah Hewson said Harry and Meghan could have helped out the Royal Family if they’d stayed.

She explained: “They wouldn’t have been playing second fiddle right now would they? They would have been front and center and they could have played such a key role and I think it’s really, really sad to see just how things have changed.”

Sarah said the Duke and Duchess of Sussex “could have made such a difference.” Speaking to The Sun, she added: “Particularly now, when you look at the Royal Family, and how difficult and how thin on the ground they have been.”

Charles and Kate have recently stepped back from public duties after being diagnosed with cancer and they’re not the only royals suffering from ill health. Princess Anne was recently rushed to hospital after suffering from concussion. The Princess Royal was injured and left with concussion in the incident at the Gatcombe Park estate in Gloucestershire last month. She spent five days in hospital following the incident.
