Meghan Markle using a death as a promotional plug for ‘With Love, Meghan’?

Meghan Markle has come under fire for allegedly using ‘death’ as a promotional plug for her show ‘With Love, Meghan’.

Meghan Markle accused of using death of her beloved dog to 'plug' Netflix show

Meghan Markle’s video about her dog Guy has just received some mixed reaction by the public and even experts have stepped forward since then, to reveal what they think of the promotional plug.

The Daily Mail’s Royal Editor Rebecca English made this accusation against the Duchess on the Mail+’s YouTube show Palace Confidential with Richard Eden.

She first began by saying, “I thought it was quite noteworthy that she used it as a plug for the show, which, I’ll be honest, made me feel personally a little bit uncomfortable.”

And “I am just not sure if that was a wise thing to do,” she also admitted while referncing the tribute post the Duchess made for her dog.

In Ms English’s eyes, “The message that accompanied the video was very gushing. I understand all of those sentiments but it was a lot of talk about how she wanted to ‘get in the shower with the hope that the water would wash away the heaviness of her tears’.”

“It made me think of when Katherine and William lost Lupo and they did put a message on social media about it, but it was like ‘It is with a heavy heart we announce we have lost Lupo who was a big part of our family’, you know, then end,” she recalled.

“And I think people understood that, but maybe that is a very British way of doing things,” she also noted.

Mr Richard Eden on the other hand had other thoughts about Meghan’s intentions this time around and proposed that “I think it was clearly going to be awkward. If the programme starts next week and the dog features in the programme but he is actually dead… She felt she had to tell people before about what had happened.”

To this Ms English replied by seemingly rejecting that idea and proposing something completely different.

“Maybe. Or you could add at the end of the show, ‘In loving memory of Guy’ as you often see things like that,” she said before concluding entirely.
