Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been estranged from the royal family for years, but it looks like that could change after the Duchess of Sussex’s change of heart.
Meghan Markle has changed her mind about the royal family and is now open to the idea of a reunion, according to a source.
The Duchess of Sussex has been estranged from The Firm after she and Prince Harry stepped down from their roles as senior royals in 2020. Tensions have mounted over the years, with Harry and Meghan making a number of bombshell allegations against the royals.
However, Harry is said to have been dreaming of a reconciliation recently and his wish might just get granted. A source suggested Meghan is warming to the idea after seeing the royal family unite at Christmas.
King Charles, Prince William and Kate Middleton were among the royal family members celebrating the festive season together in Norfolk. They also came together for Kate’s carol concert last month.
They added: “It hurts to see all the kids getting on, while their little ones don’t really know their cousins or extended family.”
Harry and Meghan share two children together – Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
Their kids have spent very little time in the UK, with Lilibet only visiting her father’s home country once. The source continued: “They want to make changes – but they have to work together as a team and both feel comfortable with what they’re doing.”
They admitted Meghan has been “reluctant” to come together with the royal family, but suggested that has now changed. “She knows life is short and maybe they should finally start building bridges,” the source said.
Harry has previously opened up about his family and revealed plans for more trips to the UK. “So my family and my life in California is as it is. I have got other trips planned. That would take me through the UK or back to the UK, so you know, I’ll stop in and see my family as much as I can,” he said during an appearance on Good Morning America.
