Meghan Markle Lashes Out at King Charles: Letter Reveals Shocking Complaints About Royal Rules

Meghan Markle, 43, has not been back to the UK very much since quitting as a senior member of the royal family in 2020, but it is believed she wrote to King Charles last year.

Meghan Markle Wrote to Charles Identifying the 'Royal Racist', Report Says

Since stepping down as senior members of the royal family in 2020, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been vocal about their experiences within the monarchy.

From their explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021 to their Netflix docuseries in 2022, and Prince Harry’s memoir Spare released the following year, the couple has not shied away from criticizing their time as senior royals.

Despite the dip in their reputation following these public revelations, it seems that the couple, Harry, 40, and Meghan, 43, also attempted to address their issues privately by reaching out to King Charles.

Royal expert Neil Sean previously revealed that Meghan reportedly penned a letter to Harry’s father expressing her frustration over the “different rules” she had to adhere to while performing her duties, compared to other family members.

In a video posted on his YouTube channel, seasoned royal observer Mr. Sean claimed Meghan “wants answers” from the King regarding the limitations imposed on her life as a senior royal. He stated: “Meghan Markle wants some answers from His Majesty the King. She tried to set up a meeting with him, she sent him a letter and wanted a one to one to explain exactly the problems she’s encountered ever since becoming a member of the British monarchy.”

“The thing that really riles Meghan is that Fergie pops up on things like the ITV daytime show This Morning, Loose Women and billing herself as the Duchess of York, selling books and possibly doing adverts all under the royal family.”

“Meghan and Harry seemingly don’t understand why it’s a different rule for her,” reports the Express.

Since stepping back from their roles as senior royals nearly five years ago, the couple have been residing in their Montecito mansion in America with their two children, Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, three. Despite being her husband’s homeland, Meghan has only made a few trips back to the UK, with her most recent visit being in September 2022 for the late Queen’s funeral.

Harry has made several trips to the country this year alone without his wife and children, with his latest visit in October last year for the Wellchild Awards 2024. He did not meet with his father King Charles, who he is on speaking terms with, or his estranged brother Prince William during this visit.
